We know this guy very well. He is virtually a parasite in ISRO. An MBA graduate who knows zero science and talk like Einstein........ If he really want to help ISRO he should resign and sit at home. This could be his greatest contribution to the nation..

Questions still remains!

It is great to see that India contributed to find a scientific evidence that Water in the moon.

However I was just wondering United States claimed that they have visited moon, years back... Why they couldn't check water that time there? Or Atleast they can send someone again and check many other things there instead of all these huge investments and assumptions based conclusions.

I think this is time at least America should accept the fact they had not visited and that was a cooked up story.

The purpose of America's space mission at that time was entirely different. Their primary aim was to land a man on the moon before the Russians could. Scientific study of the moon was only a secondary aim.

ISRO solicited proposals through an Announcement of Opportunity (AO) from International and Indian Scientific Community for participating in the mission by providing suitable scientific payloads, complementing the overall Chandrayaan-1 scientific objectives. Out of the proposals received, six experiments were selected for inclusion in Chandrayaan-1 mission; two of the AO payloads, C1XS and SARA are developed by ESA jointly with ISRO.
-- these shows that India is far more sighted than USA that invited organizations across all nations to join in their search for some discovery to unravel.

That is why NASA can't stop complementing ISRO for their success . You don't need to be best but good enough to serve the purpose.

that explains India can take credit for discovering water on moon.

Some known facts are proved..
by VIJAYAKUMAR S on Sep 25, 2009 03:50 PM  | Hide replies

He speculated that the moon's surface is covered by water, which reflects light from the sun. In this model, waves on the water's surface cause the light to be reflected in many directions, explaining why the moon is not as bright as the sun. He explained that the pale glow on the dark portion of the crescent moon is caused by sunlight reflected from the Earth. Thus, he described the phenomenon of planetshine one hundred years before the German astronomer, Johannes Kepler, proved it.

Who is he? Where he wrote it.....

He is Leonardo da Vinci,
from his scientific writing named Codex Leicester now owned by Bill gates who bought it for 30.8 mn USD
