It is actually a genocide going un-noticied. The Congress Govt because of its hate towards LTTE, didn't bother about the scores of Tamilians killed in SL. The UN is mum. Come on, we should raise International opinion, UN should conduct a high level enquiry and punish who had committed this genocide.
I think LTTE has not kiilled any tamil , it is killed by Shrilaks govrnt. the have not taken as it must be to save inocent tamiian life. where as indan crongress is happy with the news that they have taken a revenge from LTTE ,they took a life of our PM

What is revenge. All is fair in love and war. And for congress this is right strategy to revange the killing of Rajiv Gandhi. They did a fine balancing act between civilian Tamil and LTTE terorists.
India can give all the arms and others to Lanka. That is not wrong. But, when a fisherman supplies fuel to LTTE, it is terrorism and they will be punished under National Security Act... What a joke ?. Has India taken any action against Lankan Navy for killing 400 Tamilnadu fishermen so far ?.. Look what happened when an US Ship captain was detained by pirates. PLO was also a Terrorist Organization and Yasser Arafat was getting a Head of the state status from India whenever he visited Delhi. He got Noble prize. Now, they are called freedom fighters and they got what they wanted. LTTE never killed/bombed SinHelle civilians in their history. It is ridicules to think that TN wud ask for freedom if Elam is formed. We too have Terrorism, but, we never killed civilians like this.. There might have been some incidents, but not in this scale.. There are only 3 countries in the world that use air force against its own people, Lanka is one of those. For a Terrorist, there is no reason to kill. For a Freedom fighter, there is a reason to die....
It is good to die with honor instead of living as slaves in their own country. In fact, Elam Leaders are fighting for equal rights (not for separate country) since 1958. It was a non-violence movement for the first 25 years and then finally 'Thanthai Selva' came to a conclusion that a separate country for Eelam Tamils would be the only solution. During that first 25 year, the World never understood the problem. Then came LTTE and other freedom movements like PLOT/TELO,etc. Now, world knows the problem. Sometime, violence can understand the language of violence.... May be , it worked for us with British, it didn't work with Sinhelle chauvinist. People who write comments against LTTE should understand this, "LTTE is the outcome of the Genocide by SinHellese and LTTE was not the root cause ". The core issue remains as long as you address the root cause.
By helping SinHellese to defeat LTTE, India (Congies) made a blunder mistake and they paved a way to China-SinHellese-Pakis, an evil axes to set their shop in South side. They day will come when this trio kick India's butt and all Tamils will demand a separate country just to fulfill the dreams of China. It wude be easy for Chinkies to break India into 10/20 countries. Thanks to Italian Governor General and her courtiers in making Chinkies work easy. SinHellese will show their cunningness as usual. They are known to make others fight their war, in the name of Terrorism. Good work India, you have dug your own grave, a job well done by Congies....

Mr Romesh, we tamil thinks Indian identity first. That's why we kept silent, when one lakh tamils were killed at least after that India will realise and help the Tamil people.
Murphy tells Australian parliament. Noting that "hundreds of thousands of innocent Tamils displaced by the military offensive are living in camps in appalling conditions. Moreover, foreign media channels have reported horrifying evidence of the worst violations of human rights, including starvation, rape, killings and torture. International agencies are calling for full access to these camps in order to provide life-saving treatment and medical supplies and to allow free and independent media access," parliamentarian, John Murphy, appealed at the House of Representatives Thursday, "to all governments of the world who have respect for human rights, the rule of law and free speech to join together and call on the government of Sri Lanka to right the wrongs forthwith."
John Murphy's speech in parliament More excerpts from Murphy's address follow:
"To date, the Sri Lankan government has arrogantly refused free media and humanitarian access to these camps. Why is the Sri Lankan government hiding from the truth? Surely providing unimpeded media and humanitarian access to these camps would provide a perfect opportunity for the Sri Lankan government to demonstrate that it is doing all it can to alleviate the suffering of the Tamil people. Clearly, the Sri Lankan government does not want the truth revealed

I am horrified to learn that a Sri Lankan journalist, Mr J S Tissainayagam, was detained for five months without charge in 2008 and has since been convicted and sentenced by the Colombo High Court to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment...What an appalling assault on free speech by the Sri Lankan government. Australia, as a country that asserts the rights to freedom of speech and freedom of expression, including views on all matters of public policy, the behaviour of the Sri Lankan government is in direct conflict with our values as well as those of other democratic nations and, as such, must be loudly and publicly condemned.
"In a further assault on freedom of speech, an Australian United Nations official, Mr James Elder, was recently ordered by the Sri Lankan government to leave the country because of comments he made about the military offensive and its impact on innocent civilians. Mr James Elder is a spokesman for the United Nations Children’s Fund in Colombo and has made several statements on foreign television news channels and print media concerning the horrendous humanitarian crisis in Sri Lanka....It is obvious that there exists no freedom of the press in Sri Lanka. The actions of the government of Sri Lanka must be condemned and must be condemned loudly."
While Bengali speaking People in East Pak had differences with Urdu people in West Pak, India intervened and provided them the Bengalidesh.
Sameway, when Tamil speaking people in North east of Lanka had problems with Singalish in south west of lanka, Inddia should have intervened in right way to provide them the deservin Eelam.
But the difference is while the issue came for Bengalis the India's power was with Indira who knows India / Indians feeling better than now when issue came for Tamilians the power was with Sonia who is basically from Itally.

Mukti Bahini of Bangladesh were NOT TERRORISTS unlike LTTE. Late Rajiv Gandhi was NOT ITALIAN, Vajpayee was not Italian either. If LTTE were freedom fighters then so are Kashmiri seperatists, Khalistanis, LET, Jaish M, Jamaat-ud-dawa, Naxalites, JMB, Abu Saif, Islamic Jehad, Hizbollah etc. etc. etc.

Well Said, Ganapathi !
Our Indian Govt. knews this (feeling of the Tamils in TN) very well through their ears and eyes (intel. agencies)....even in the month of May Mr Bhadrakumar (a former diplomat) wrote in rediff that Blood is on our hands due to our misguided policy in SL.
Whatever the central govt thinks, Majority if not all Tamils in India support SL Tamils.
Guess Rahul Gandhi's recent forays in TN is a move in order to appease Tamils. Lets see what vison he has for Tamils in India and SL.
