Price is paid to get police job
by farroukh irani on Sep 09, 2009 06:09 PM

The Commissioner himself has admitted that price is paid to get police jobs - obviously after getting the job they will try to get back their investments with interest and more. I wonder how much this commissioner has paid to get this job - Sheela Bhatt should have asked this question first rather than asking hackneyed questions, answers of which are public knowledge.

Corruption should be substituted in place of terrorism
by farroukh irani on Sep 09, 2009 06:01 PM

The word corruption is the key word which should worry this guy much more than terrorism as terrorism can be tackled but tackling corruption will need much more effort and I belive it is beyond this guy and if he tries, then he will be transferred within a day or two.

Former Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif has met Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden five times, says a former official of Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), a claim hotly denied by Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Speaking in ARY news programme 'Eleventh Hour', the former ISI official and now chairman Defence of Human Rights organisation Khalid Khwaja claimed he had arranged meetings between bin Laden and Nawaz Sharif on bin Laden's request and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief had held five meetings with the Al Qaeda chief so far.

I think what all we are doin to make security better should not be disclosed publically.Because then it will also be known to our attackers so they can improve their plans. It should be known but not very clearly.

Helping hand to women, elders and children
by raj mehta on Sep 09, 2009 02:00 PM

I can vouch for commissioner. Police is now more caring for women, elders and children. This was evident in Lalbaug cha raja where local volunteers were ruthless, police did a good job.

Though a number of his answers are good & sensible, but surprised by his this answer

Q Do you think Dawood Ibrahim's network is still operating in Mumbai?
A.I don't know. But if we come across it we will definitely take action against it.

If he is not knowing about Dawood network, then what is left in Mumbai? Anyway he is 100 times better than the bu ffoons earlier

Also a good interview by Sheela Bhatt? The other one I recall was when Praful Patel was grilled by panel of journaists. That was the real journalism.

"You know at what price people pay to get police jobs. I know what is happening in my galli (lane)."
Is this man a Police Commissioner or a sub-inspector?
