The Americans cannot look beyond their own interests, which now is to ensure that the Taliban remain involved in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and to hell with what Pakistan is doing with regard to its nuclear weapons and India. This is not unexpected, and if anyone felt that this report would make the Americans look again at their aid package, he/she needs some serious treatment.
Now even USA cannot do aything against pakistan because pakistan has arm wisted USA they sold for money and these guys are miusing if USA does not comply to pakistan pakistan will fly a plane with nuke bomb into USA.
Pakistan is a failed state being rules by a rogue army. From terrorist stae it has become an extortinoist state. These porkistanis pretend to show self respect and dignity by barking like dogs on indian websites why thwy dont reject US aid ? Why dont they beg from kingdom fo Soudi Arabia nd over 50 muslim counteries ? Why they want help from kafirs ?

There is an old saying in Foreign policy circles, "America does not have permanent friends, but permanent interests". Look what they did with their so called 'Af-Pak" policy. Only when 9-11 was traced to afghans, they hit them, forgetting taliban, al-qeda was its creation. just when Pakis are sharpening their harpoons, you are thinking about your unexploded bombs. So basically buddha never smiled. How come you are thinking about 10 years later, when we have moved towards solving over energy problems using Nuclear energy. Shame on you and shame on us.
Drug addicts in the US are visiting Methadone clinics in the US Govt funded programs asking for help! The drug addict say: "I want to escape from drug addiction, please help me!" The doctor make an assessment and will prescribe Methadone to save the drug addict from drug addiction withdrawal symdrom. The doctor actually offering drugs!! Then next the drug addict is visiting the hospital and walk away with methadone and sell it outside and make money! The US Govt is fooled! But the inventors of this program do not because they can be in the business whether fooling the US Govt or not!
It is the same pattern in the case of Pak military! US Govt is offering military packages to keep them not buying them from China! (China addiction/India hostility). Look what happens next! Pak is modifying the weaponary they receive, modify it and sell it to North Korea, Iran etc. to the enemies of the US! To the big US Companies who sell these weaponary it is just their usual business!! They know bloody well that these weaponary is going to be used against them either via Al Qaida / Taliban or by Iran! Who cares! The Govt of US is selling methadone to Pak and they become more and more addicted to it! Today, they cannot survive without that methadone from the US!! Poor Pak!! Keep buying them and become more and more bankrupt!! Pak knows well what happens if it is used against India! They will be just wiped out from the Globe!! Who knows if this is the mind of the US!
I wrote right here last week that US will ignore porki's action and will politely pass their aid... and you see now, they are going to sign 5 year aid for 7.5 billion..
I am telling you again, they will pass another aid for next 5 years,, I bet..
These americans dont care what porki's do against india, they just want to fulfill their purpose...

This is one of the best post on rediff - a complete, fat-free no non-sense write-up. It sums up US-Pak relations, and shows how stupid our IFS "chanakyas". These spineless IFS and ministers in external affairs ministry have made India a barking dog who will never bite, whereas porkistan always bite and everytime complains of India being bullish.
