The Buddhists believe that our actions affect our seven re-births and our seven generations also (though I do not believe in the theory of Karma) I am inclined to believe that the Musliiims are now paying for the sins of their ancestors. Major areas of Afghanistan and present day Pak were Buddhist centres not so long ago.

It is something that is told in every household in India...it's the Indian Hindu philosophy...Karma is the law of nature...if you believe in Einsten's theories, you will have to believe in the theories of our ancient rishis( or scientists) too :)

I concur with you. Peshawar or Purushapura was the seat of the great emperor Kanishka. He built one of the tallest stupas to seucre Buddhist relics in Purushapura. That stupa was the tallest building in the world then (127 CE) at 120 feet.In 997, our peace loving people arrived and the rest of the history is written in blood.

Whether or not Karma is to be belived, the law of cause and effect is pure common sense. Suffering genocides - jews or hindus is the reward for weakness. But unlike hindus, jews becme smarter after WWII and have created a miltarily strong nation. But Hindus have completely failed in this, keeping aside the doctored history we are forced to learn.

They are all utter non-senses. Some people had predicted that the world will come to an end by Y2K (year 2000) but nothing happened so far. As per proven scienfic studies planet earth will support life for another 1.5 billion years. So nobody is going to their "fahter in the heven" nor going to get those seventytwo things any sooner!!

Life is not eternal on Earth. No Guarantee for 1.5 billions years. Ok just take 100 years ahead. the alarming rate of climate change, danger of piling nuclear weapons, terrorist attackes ( biological, chemical ..) , a meteroid, an apidemic , anything can bring end to life soon...

The actual date is 21-12-2012 - the day of the Winter solistice. The Mayan calender which is centuries old ends abruptly on that day possibly predicting a doomsday. Check out You tube for an interesting documentary on 2012.

Guys, According to the scriptures, we are still in the first phase of Kaliyuga. 3 more phases to go. So, no end in 2012 but a major correction. Things will worsen before it gets better. We see the seeds for that already around us.The whole world is waiting to erupt. Just the spark is needed.
