Why is the poor steersman arrested , the real culprits should be the compnay who designed the boat and the cruel people who gave lisence to the boat... they will not be arrested AND IN the long run people will forget abt this incident as well.....no issue in being corrupt(in this senario i dont think even god can remove corruption from india unless he kills very one) but then it should not go to the extend that u claim others life
If the boat had a passenger capacity of only 42, then more likely it only had life-jackets for 42 passengers, leaving the extra 45 of the 87 passengers on board who perished, without life-jackets. Safety is an alien concept and overloading, whether of cars, trucks, boats, etc is totally normal in this fetid land, so it should come as no big surprise that this boat was way overloaded beyond its capacity. Why have just the steersman and Chief Inspector of boats the only ones arrested? What about the rest of the culprits- the corrupt boat builders, the babus of the approving agency and the KTDC, and others even higher up- their corrupt neta bosses???
