Md Ahmed , Cent % correct . But what is sad is that voters have 'n' number of religions and the politician know how to use that to their advantage . So he can say " I skrewed your life up for 5 years ...but vote for me since I belong to you creeed / caste etc "

there r 2 reasons for this sad state, one lack of education & the other even if some ppl r educated they blindly support someone just b'coz of his religious/caste bkground. PPl shld understnd that no politician will help a common man unless he has some interest in that, we shld come above this sad state & vote for those who r really concrnd abt developement.

raj , As long as we are a political democrasy admit it that the government - run by the ruling party- is expected to DO IT ! The opposition is supposed to make noises right or wrong . In May 2009 the people of this country sent Advani and Karat to the garbagwe can . Having done that how can a chotabrained Raj expect that Karat and Advani should solve all your problems?

The people of this country have not given any power to these people and bestowed power only to italian so what they can do ?
Its high time now that Indian Govt swings into action.It must act diplomatically and ask the Australian govt.to ensure the safety of Inidan. Had the same thing happened to a australian in India , the hue and cry from the australian govt. would have been worth listening too.
However,i do see a level of frustation and anger against Indians because of their high level of competence in every field leading to outsourcing.

Guest , I think you have the bull by the tail ... ! And that is not the horn you are seeing! The fact that Indians are getting beaten blue-black or kicked in the butt has nothing to do with "Jealousy" that they are infinitely more competent than the Australians themselves . It has more got to do with the fact that these Indians are eyeing the very same turf that the Austailians think -and rightly so- is theirs . What the government of India can do is to prevent Indian students from going to Austrailia . When that starts pinching their economy they will wake up !

The racicism in Australia is taking a bad shape and the situation is getting bad day by day. The Indian Government needs to intervene and talk with the Australian officials and some action needs to be taken. Millions of Indian students are in Australia and other parts of the world. If it's happening in Australia today, tommorow it might take place in france, germany etc as well.

Dont take it personally...but I am in Australia...but I was bashed before 3 years something...u know what the reason was..? I did night shift and was walking on a street filled with drunks around 2AM ? Thinking about it later I knew that it was my mistake..I need to take care of myself..rather than risking and whining getting hit..See the above guy..he slept at a bus stop at around half past 12 midnight..dats where he made a mistake..Never risk it guys...Its not worth it doing late night shifts and traveling alone..anywhere.not only in australia but in any part of the world...Now whos mistake is it..?Think guys..

Well if u had been to the middle east and also the west ..u might b in a better situation to judge the cultural differences .. But instead of taking the point..u come up with counter argument which has nothing to do with the present case..the affected guy is in Australia for christsake...Do u think that u r intelligent when u come up with silly counter arguments...the point implied in the above statement is "WE NEED TO BE PRECAUTIOUS" Part of the blame is also on us...Or else I wont be citing the fact that I got bashed and till now I was nt coz it was an eye opener and I am precautious...but the message was meant for guys in Australia..who look up this forum not for guys like u...nyways

I understand you point but sometimes your actions are driven by situations my friend..
Nobody likes to do a night shift or sleep at a bus stop but situation probably demanded it or it could be little bit of greed to earn some extra bread for the day.
Whatever the causse could be, he ended up being in a bad place at a bad time and paid for it.

Yeah Mick, Thats what I am saying ..u might earn 30 dollars more but whats the point when u get hurt for life..I think its not worth it..the greed is always there..but still I think we need to take the necessary precautions b4 jumping to conclusions...
Racist attacks are more because indians are becoming more professional, best work force in the world. that's why jealousy. I have one request to Sikh. They should not be too obsessed with their relegion. They are as obsessed as muslims. They demanding all the right to carry dagger in foreign land. That provoke people. Why should they make spacial rule for sikh if no body else is allowed to carry knife openly. Sikh should be more free minded. That would help their community only.

No clue really why such a big issue is being made when ppl are being attached in AUS, there are so many atrocities are being done in India itself. I guess the media should highlight the local problems more than the problems happening outside the country

So you mean to say if an Indian is killed in India, the media should cover it but if the same guy is killed abroad, the media should not make a big issue out of it and ignore it?

this type of incidents with 100times more intensity is happening daily on hyndoos by musylyms almost everywhere in india but not reported by any media!
before some days, while all media were highlighting sophyan murder case(by the same community), a hyndoo boy was murdered by musylyms due to his love with a musylym garl in kashmir but no media reported it!
everywhere in india , muslims r making the racist attack on hyndoos daily , be it Asam, WB, Tripura, kerala, andhrapradesh, Kashmir or many areas like meraz, sangli in madhyapradesh, like bhopal of MP and so on...but no media report it!
