You should understand as to who will pay for the pollution you create, who will pay for the national waste that is created because of this festival...Infac, every H*I*N*D*U festival has extravagance and wastage of money, they don't give alms or charity but are willing to blow away millions on self-pleasure and indulgence....When millions are starving in poverty, millions washed away in floods, millions sleeping on pavements of India, all the H*I*N*D*U*S are selfish and self indulgent folks who are worried about their new clothes, burning crackers and eating sweets which will come out the next day...All for a night's pleasure...They are willing to stash away that money rather than spending it on the poor or needy in providing a meal for that night...Indians spending on Diwali extravagence is equivalent to feeding poor families for 1 week in India...H*I*N*D*U mentality is a C*H*E*A*P mentality of only grabbing and storing it in their homes...They only grab never give....No wonder why the reputation of I*N*D*I*A*N*S is so high in the rest of the World....

Both Dushera and Diwali are celebrated across India. In north Diwali is the most important festival and in south Dushera is. I am sure you must have got sweets on dushera :). However certain communities in south like the brahmins of tamilnadu have Diwali as the most important festival.

In south victory of ram over evil is celebrated and in north its home coming of ram.

So why divide each other over petty differences? :)

Unless we want to be divided and ruled once again.

Shashwat,Deepawali is celebrated by all Hindus-Sanatani,Sikhs,Jains and Bodhs.Even some of the muslims families living in Hindu locality find it difficult to resist the temptation of celebrating Deepawali and they decorate their homes like any Hindu

The origin of diwali
by anilkumar on Oct 18, 2009 01:06 PM  | Hide replies

Itz the festival of light, just like holi is the festival of water and filth, and new year is the festival of booze. Now the festival of lights has become more or less festival of tubelights, coz no one cares about the diya,,the crackers has been replaced in some places like goa by real bombs etc.

Yes, we have Diwali Crackers while they can substitute it with missiles, we should ask the Standard fireworks and Sivakasi fireworks to make rockets so that they can land somewhere near China...
