Re: excellent move from speaker

Watch out these chaps and beat up the speaker for disqualifying them when he comes out of the Assembly.
Let's not politicize everything. This episode is ugly. We must learn to respect our country, our national flag, our national anthem and our national language. I don't say whatever Abu Azmi does is right. But at least he shouldn't get such treatment for speaking in Hindi. That too in Maharashtra which has produced great nationalists like Lakmanya Tilak. It also paints the law and order situation in Maharashtra in bad light. Such things must not happen in a state known for centuries for its love for the nation. All regional languages are to be respected and developed. But no language should be allowed to have a priority over our national language. We have great expectations from the new Maharashtra CM. He must show his ability to take action against anybody acting against the constitution. Whatever the protem speaker has done is harsh but quite justified. What was the recourse available with him? He is bound to act as per the constitution. The whole episode is extremely shocking and shameful.

But don't forgot Hindi became national language only by one Vote in that sence it is not true national language. Let Sanskrit should be made National and Hindi should be any other regional language then this dispute will over.

All Launguage should come behind the mother tounge. Mother touge is the essence of a human perosnality and culture . This does not mean any launguage should be dis respected including the National launguage.
Police commissioner Ronald Mendonca has said in an affidavit submitted to Mumbai high court that the Samajwadi Party's state president Abu Asim Azmi is "in close association with Dawood Ibrahim, as per police records... and is involved in the scandalous shoe seam case."

where was this raj thackeray and his marathi manUs when his mumbai city was attacked by terrorists. he should have stood up and made clear that only marathi speaking jawans will face the terrorists.

abu azmi - must learn to respect marathi culture, language and traditions. Becoming a MLA of the state, he shoul really respect marathi.Thru dubious means he has built his ill-gotten empire in mumbai, atleast he should respect the ideals and culture of the state. India will be truly great when each of us respect the langauge, culture, traditions of the state -one lives and resides in. Constitutions gives equal opportunity and treats fairly and people from UP and Bihar needs to respect the ideals and principle of reciprocal feelings.

what do you mean by respect the culture and speaking in mother touge have in beteween ! Abu Asmi who ever he is , is born in UP and probably his mother tounge is Urdu or Hindi. If he chose to take oath in the launguage he best understands one should respect his choice..

Not fair. No state in India will accept the other language than the state language. Imagine WB, TN, Kerala, Karnataka or UP, Bihar accepting oath in other language. Lets not have double standards.

Similarly non of the MNS or Marahi disrepect other language, respecting your own language does not mean disrespecting other language

Just a sign of things to come. Are we going to blame the ISI or China for Raj's despicable action?
MNS should be disbanded...it is an terrorist organization....What is anti Marathi in speaking Hindi, which is National Language... No region or state is above Nation i.e INDIA JAI HOOOOOOOO
Re: Welcome Reaction

Who has accepted hindi as national language, there are 22 national language and Marathi one of them. Do not force Hindi as national language on non hindi speaking states that is what written in constitution.
Re: Welcome Reaction
by raman khole on Nov 09, 2009 06:13 PM
Hindi can't be forced in other states. Our consitution does not recommend that. In fact it says to nurture and respect the ethnic cultures and regional languages. Hindi is ok in Delhi not in other states where the official languge is different. Abu has made his fortune in Mumbai and behaves as if he is from different world. Very immature, adamant and a cheap politician. Marathis are more liberal and open minded like any other people.
Congress will act according to their convenience. now after suspending four the majority required will be less in maha but the same thing is happening in AP but no action will be taken

Raj do you know about holocaust, it started all with dividing people on the base of their race, religion, community and led to millions deaths. I advise to the people of Maharastra to not support any leader who divide the people of India on any grounds.
