Author is terribly wrong@ anlysis
by sunil sunkara on Nov 17, 2009 11:33 PM

The author made very bad analysis out of nothing. The constitution does not bar rich people to serve the nation. Who are you to take your own yard stick to measure capabilities of Jaganmohan Reddy? Leadership qualities and rallying cadre for the party's win are the two important factors for holding the CM post. No experience is required to sit in the CMs chair. People choose MLAs and MLAs in turn choose CM. In democracy, this should be respected. But where is internal democracy in congress party. Rosaiah was chosen against the wish of the people and against the wish of the MLAs. Jagan has got all the qualities that his father has.Jagan already shown his talents as he has played a crucial role in the last elections in four districts of Rayalaseema & parts of coastal districts.Every one knows in AP that he has very massive massive support when he addressed public meetings in East Godavari, Guntur, Prakasam and four Rayalaseema districts during the recent elections. So the author is requested to write this type of stories only after thorough investigation not by just drawing conclusions after watching bad media channels like ETV or TV9 or Andhrajyothi.

The stench of money in politics
by Kamlesh Shah on Nov 08, 2009 06:13 AM

Dear readers,
Do not blame on politicians, why do not we blame ourselves as
1) We are always talking about the issues eagerly but not eager to use our voting right.
2) We people are most self interested first & than we think our nation & politicians knows our weakness. They are always throwing a piece of bread in terms of pay hike for govt employees, forgiving debts for the farmers, reducing petrol prices before election, giving rice/dal at cheaper price, free electricity, relegious subsidy & fake non fullfill promise so on & seling our respect for 5 years in terms of vote.
3) Politicians are not interesting development of people but from last 62 years they are interesting keep people poor & uneducated, creating more slums in the cities so that their vote banks remain intact,
Its all our fault.

The stench of money in the politics
by Ramesh Radia on Nov 07, 2009 10:46 AM

I not only agree but believe since long back that the Indian Politics is nothing but the self elevation of the person through any political party if he has money and muscle poewer. Our juduciary is also seems helpless against such situation in the countries politics.I am ready to oppose such anti democracy incidences being acted openly.Who has to initiate the action? No any political party is worried about the common man of the nation though they always talk in public for the welfare of the common man only. These are all showmanship which Indian public has to view silently.I believe strongly that the strong media person having respect, faith and honour for the 'Matrubhumi'(Nation) and Judiciary can control/cease all such mal-practice behaviour in the politics.
One more state is also in the race of corruption and is Maharashtra. The so called mal-practice eelected candidates group are quarrelling against each other for the distribution of the maaldaar portfolios in the ministry. They are there to convert their power into their personal wealth figring endless. The people in the democracy are waiting for some miracle to able them to see Golden Sun on the horizon of a real Democratic India.

nationalize them
by sg sg on Nov 06, 2009 11:48 AM

i say nationalize the mines and make them navratnas, keeping them in private hands only makes the thugs get into this line and loot the real wealth. go check out the money that this line generates, some of them have private airstrips in middle of now where and name the car in the world and you will find them there. this only brings in more thugs who will fight to control them. and who ever does them has the cash flow that every party needs.

Corrupt practices
by SGK on Nov 06, 2009 12:37 AM

The answer is that there is something seriously wrong with the way the mining contracts are awarded and scrutinzed by the government. This sad state of affairs is not only applicable to the mining industry alone, but across all industries. How many of us would agree that it would be better for one & all to sacrifice the reddy brothers rather than the ideology of a party or Ms. Shoba or Mr. Acharya or....... BJP has to decide who to keep within it's fold and who to weed out. The answer lies with the BJP top brass, but sadly thet themselves have bickerings at the helm. Can we as a common man accept the decision that they may take in retaining the brothers when they cannot even decide on their own top folk. There is moral to these happenings, set your own house (national) right before you set others (state) right.

Does BJP have the guts
by SGK on Nov 06, 2009 12:31 AM

Does BJP have the guts to take corrective action unmindful of the fact they may have to lose power if they debar these corrupt people from even entering their party fold again. Other Political parties may have Institutionalized Corruption and Criminalized Politics before the BJP came into the limelight, BJP now has a god sent chance to stand up and set an example by rooting out these people and their interests irrespective of the outcome. I am sure the common man would be proud that someone somewhere was able to take a decision that states "no room for corruption". When one of the reddy brothers is a Minister for health, people are forgetting the fact the same politician was nowhere to be accessible when the Swine Flu was at it's peak. The brothers also have al along been stating that they & other mining "lords" have "pooled" in money to build houses, but does anyone have the gumption to question where they got the money from. The Bellary Ore belongs to the people of Karnataka and all along these lords have been fleecing not only the govenment but the very people of the state/country of the revenue that actually should be going to the people by way of development. Reddy brothers "have no right" to say that they have been "magnanimous" to "donate" this money. The brothers have also been stating all along that they were born poor, but the question of the hour is "How can anyone for that matter" become so rich by was of mining.
