The participation of corporate houses in the agricultural production process must be facilitated, incentivised and encouraged by the govt.So far they are engaged in trade and processig alone and the production has been left solely in the hands of resource staeved, poor and illiterate farmers managing uneconomic small and microholdigs.The agricultural land holdings are getting smaller and smaller renderig them to be un-economic.Radical agrarian reforms are needed to enhance the per unit productivity of land, labour, inputs,technolgy available and that being generated.The private investment in agriculture must e encouraged to make agriculture competitive in the world.The land ceiling must go and agric sector must be given industry status.THEN ONLY WE CAN EXPECT TO GET ADEQUATE TOMATOESAT AFFORDABLE PRICES !

BJP wallahs are usually rich guys ... vegetables are not expensive, but you would rather eat in a restaurant than cook at home
do you know that in restaurants, they put so much oil and cook it at high temperature that it kills all the nutrition.

@ k p -- you need not support BJP but you have to understand onething that a healthy opposition is always required and a balance has to be made. You cant let others allow to go free hand. One advice open your eyes, congress policies are same what Britishers had, divide and rule. concentrate on rising prices. Gov failed to provide relief to commoners. U may have enough to eat but think from a poor man's eye.

But they have collected it from people Mr. KP. And many of us, who donated do not have any problem either with VHP (It is not BJP, but VHP who are responsible for temple construction, and those who visit Ayodhya know what is the status of the money collected. So do not worry about it). This is not donated by your mother earned from her immoral activities.

For others, who seem to be allergic to reference to politicians, I would say that for the whole malaise, only that class of politicians is responsible which could topple the BJP govt. on prices of onions alone which was, in fact, their own creation. Your mother may be earning a lot and so you do not have any problem even when the prices are soaring high. But we common men, including BJP wallahs, those who voted for congress, and other parties, all are now finding it difficult to meet our both ends.
People like you who see politics in everything, and who are undoubtedly illigimate children, have no problem with anything.
