To 'upper' caste Sikhs
by Kumar on May 27, 2009 05:36 AM

Stop being castiest, racist haters and bigots. Who gave you the right to deny the Ravidasis how they live and who they worship? You guys come to USA and Europe and try to teach Christians about religious tolerance, why don't you practice this in your own backyard first, you haters.

See how the northies have gone berserk. A few northies were manhandled by the MNS and all hell broke loose on northie TV. Now look at the northies indulging their natural violent instincts.

Time for hard questions to ask
by Ravindra Kumar on May 26, 2009 07:01 PM

Dear readers:

you all are getting mirred into media galore. It is not a time whether X is sikh or not sikh, x is a north eastern or soith western.

This malaise is so endemic, that our goverments have taken for granted that just pit one caste another, one sect against another-media is just a reflection.

Just for example look at rediff-all news from mayawati, BJP, SP have been blocked, and portal news have remained same for weeks.

I will be leaving the portal, bit with a message to all bros inclusiding muslim bros, beware of these pseudo seculars. After all my muslim brothers, you are no Arabs, you are a subcaste of indian millieu, and will be better served preserving the plularity. hindus are not in majority. If you realize this plularity, then think choosing a strong central goverment, it is in everyone's interest, whether kasmir, Assam, kerala,

States can not preswerve atonomy, plurality. ask Hard questions, how secukar, constitutional is this or that goverment.

Pseudo secularls are answerable for this malaise. constitution does not provide a freelancing, but should aim for a national identity- seculars have not understood it

Sikh Fury
by Jatinder Singh on May 26, 2009 04:34 PM  | Hide replies

It is very disgraceful to describe Sant Ramanand as Sikh Guru. There are only 10 Sikh Gurus and no living person can be called a Guru of Sikhs. It is utter deplorable to describe it as Sikh Fury or Sikh Guru to the current situation in and around after Vienna attack in the media. No doubt the late Sant Ramanand was a respectable figure in his community and his murder is highly deplorable and was the act of quite mindless violence. But while reporting, the media must report the facts correctly and resist from glorification as it is it is their duty to enlighten its readers not to misguide them. The fact is that the shootout in Vienna was held inside a Temple named as Sant Ravidas Temple and not inside a Gurudwara as per media report. Another point is that the Sikhs in Punjab and around have nothing to do with this mindless violence and disruptions to public life and property. The followers of the sect are described as Ravidasias. The fact is fully proven on the media coverage in which it is clearly seen that clean-shaven Hindu persons who are taking part in the protests and violence and very little or no Sikhs are part of the processions. So it is requested that the media should apply restraint in describing the whole episode and PLEASE DON'T DESRIBE IT AS SIKH FURY OR SIKH SAINT OR SIKH GURU. PLEASE PLEASE ...................... HAVE SOME DECENCY PLEASE.

mr jatinder singh, do you support the khalistan zindabad force. do you want to say the killing is justified?
first of all you must know why these deras came out? they are all here bcoz of the casteism prevalent in sikhism. higher caste sikhs never accept the dalits as their fellow followers. remove this casteism from sikhism and then talk about equality.
even today in villages you find different gurudwaras on the basis of caste. even the places of funeral are also seperate. in some cases the higher caste sikhs do not allow the lower caste sikhs to use their place of funeral. is this the way to follow the teachings of ten gurus?????????????

By the way brother Kumar, have you gone through my message. Have I at any place disgraced Ravidasias. I have full regard for them and their Saints. The only thing, I want to point out is that Sikhs, as mentioned in the reports, have nothing to do with the violent protests erupted in Punjab and around. And mind you mr Kumar, in your own words by describing us haters, you yourself is a hater and I don't need any word to reply you. The only thing I want to tell the whole world that Sikhs are not do any thing with these violent protests. And we strongly condemned the attach on Saints at Austria. Have you got my point Mr Kumar. Better behave your language.

right brother, sikhism preacher brotherhood, love and equality. According to me it is one of the most noble religions of the world. But i am sad to state that the sikhs are not. When the lower caste people found themselves bring droven out from the gurudwaras then they searched for a unique place of worship whom they could idolise. they found salvage in shri guru ravidass maharaj ji. they bow before and recite sri guru granth sahib ji and also pay their respects to shri guru ravidass maharaj ji. what else could they do??? During the worst days of punjab no terrorist thought in his dreams to attack any ravidassi dera. but now the radicals want them out. I may inform you that about 4 years back in ludhiana, basti jodhewal chowk, two sikhs went inside shri guru ravidass temple to take out shri guru granth sahib ji from the premises of the temple as they said that enough respect is not being given there. It had created a lot of furore among the dalit members then. And now the killing of sant ramanand ji. what are these radical sikhs upto??? they have problem with about 50% population of punjab. they hate the sacha sauda followers, radhasoamis, nirankaris, nurmehalias, namdharis.

Sant Rama Nand was Not a Sikh
by Parminder Singh on May 26, 2009 01:00 PM  | Hide replies

Someone who is named Rama Nand, cannot a sikh. Media is totally mistaken in this news and publicizing wrong propaganda which harms sikh community.
Sikhs have their last name ending with 'SINGH'. I have never heard a sikh name like ' Rama Nand Singh'. This does not make any sense at all.

Dont worry Pammyji, we all know that all Sikhs are Singhs but all Singhs are not Sikhs like Mulayam and Amar Singhs. But what I cannot understand is that why are you Sikhs hunting for the blood of these people.

plz define the word "sikh". sant ramanand spent his entire life preaching the teachings of shri guru ravidass ji & shri guru granth sahib ji. he is not a sikh as per your norms. then who is a sikh hard kaur, bhindranwale, jagjit singh chauhan, and all those terrorists who killed thousands of hindu-sikhs.

Killing of a saint
by Krishan Sharma on May 26, 2009 10:18 AM  | Hide replies

Guru, saint, or god; all teach to live for a better future. We Indians and the people in general should experience the god inside. Instead of being served by 10 servents and accumulating the wealth enough for seven generations, we should see the help of science due to which not many servants are needed. Presidential form of Govt is a more vibrant democracy than that of ours. India must hold the referendom to change towards the presidential system as early as possible otherwise all our so called intelligensia will be gethering the dust. All talent is sent to palaces (Rajya Sabha, DCs, Governors, President) and no decision making power is given to them. All this talent is fooled by the politicians through wrong constitution. Non deserving politicians have made different different parties to distribute peanuts in their constituencies. Only the vibrant democracy alongwith science can show us the path of healthy living without thinking others as slaves.

I'm distressed to see Punjab so communal and backward. The radical sikhhs have made Punjab the worst place to live thru relegious extremism. Moderate ppl of punjab shud kick out teh sikkh radicals out of India and only then will we get bak to the glory days. Punjab has become a hotbed for extremism and in the bargain socially backward..also radical sikhs in Cananda, UK, Pak, etc fund radical sikh organizations to wreck havoc in India...in Canada(Vancouver)the sikkhs disrespected the Indian flag...isnt this disgusting to say the least?

I want to clearify a couple things...

Are jatts in haryana and rajsthan considered hindu in the census?

If i am a chamar and belong to the sikh religon am I counted as upper class in punjab?

and finally benefits should be given to the people in need...not the ones who enjoy freedom and resources....
