Agreed. I dont know whats up with the Indians in India who think that they run the whole world and no country can survive without Indian talent (?). If that was the case, India wouldn't be in shambles as it is right now.

Indians pray
by Gazi on May 13, 2009 01:14 PM

Let ALL Indians pray and hope that the Government of India WILL NOT allow the exodus from Sri Lanka when the displaced in the battle the Sri Lankan Govt is waging with LTTE reaches the peak .No country-morally-should keep out suffering refugees (women, children, elderly etc)on humanitarian grounds but Indian People has bitter experience with the refugees from Sri Lanka and the un briddled infiltration from ALL borders which the political parties WELCOME as
their VOTE BANKS.Poverty,Crime etc have hurt India very badly. There is discrimination when there is a Genuine Case of Ethnic Cleansing by
China on Tibet who after decades are
suffering.
What India can in the Sri Lanka tragedy is the
support - food, clothing, shelter etc-to the hapless victims of decades old shenanigans by the Americans and the willing rulers.America with the support of Sri Lankan Army and politicians created monsters like LTTE when it suited them in their cold war time with Gulf. This rag tag group of extremists have
grown in to disciplined, well equipped, cold blooded army of murderers.Instead of nipping their growth in the bud they were USED by the
Sri Lanka and the U.S.

It is Natural!
by abhay abhay on May 13, 2009 01:02 PM

It is natural that the locals would like to support and believe the Taliban/Pak, in comparison to the US or any other outside country's armewd forces, even if the former inflict the worst atrocoties !

This should and would have been anticipated by the learned US strategists, well before they started the military operations in the Afpak area.

There is nothign that the US can do about it! This loss in the propaganda war is one of the inherent and insurmountable handicaps of any outside military force! They have to learn to live and operate inspite of this! Good luck, USA! (But dont ask us to send our Army to help you out!)

Cant help
by Bonni Roy on May 13, 2009 12:08 PM

US government cant help but play the role of international policeman - the US arms industry feeds thye international arms and weapon market, and it is a highly profitable industry, which also contributes pomp of US government. Somebody has to consume these weapons and the US army is the biggest taker to this...and offcourse the terrorist groups that US Gov. nurtures.
