Boy has my sympathy. HRD Minister, Mr. Arjun Singh, please take note. If you remain/or re-nominated by our esteemed MMS, as HRD minister in the next government, please amend and rename all CBSE schools as madrassas, just to show the world and America that INDIA is the number one secular country in the whole world.

If this guy is keen to keep beard, why should he seek admission in convent type of school. What will these centres of breeding terr orists do.The centres which had been banned even in Pakistan.Indians should be beware of fundamentalism of Islam being forced in India like-airhostesses wearing salwar kamiz instead of Saris, all lower rung govt servents trying to support beard and islamic caps, where as those who have gone to IAS or IPS etc hence become officers they do not support beard.

Ban all religious activities in Public places?
by Agnostic on Mar 24, 2009 06:00 PM  | Hide replies

No one should sport religious identities like Skull caps - beards, Tilaks, Crosses etc. Women should not wear Burkhas, sindhoor etc.

There should be no images of any god or goddess be displayed in any government offices.

There is should be no worship place in places like Schools, Govt offices, Railway Stations etc.

Religion is venom. It spoils people.

i agree with all your points except the last one where you say religion is venom.. its not the religion itself thats venomous. Its the people who preach and practise them thats filled with venom. Its fanaticism in the name of religion thats venomous and not any particular religion itself.. If only people from all communities look at their religions as just a way by which the society identifies them, there wont be any confusion and tensions in the name of any religion.

absolutely correct venkat, i full agree with you, allow each religion to follow their way and never compel people to convert to any religion... which is happening in full peak in india..

"Minorities" can fight other "minorities" and the "majority" for their "rights". The "Majority" cannot fight for its rights, because it has none: because we are "SECULAR".

You may LOL, but that is the law in india. Thank Uncle Nehru and his dynasty for framing the rules (to ensure his power base of course). An open enemy (Jinna) is better than a hidden enemy (Neru and dynasty) that masquerades as a friend

Just pointing out sikhsss here will not help ...Sikhsss like other sub religions of hindou ism are governed by hindou laws from birth , taxation, marriage , death etc. Are these people ready to accept a common indian law. They just want the best of everything without giving up even a slight inch. Leaving the disturbing phase when sickoolar kan gress demonized sikhss ....sikhss have contributed rightly to the nation cause rather than carving their own parts and keeping certain lands like j and k ...and theye people only want favours and suck blut.

Sporting a beard

Some time back a Kerala constable who was a muslim moved the court that he could not shave his beard as per his religious beliefs. The judgement was excellent - Gen Zia who is the head of an Islamic state (Pakistan) is clean shaven, what is your problem?
