Travel west from Gujarat? To Bengal?
by babikol on Mar 24, 2009 05:25 AM  | Hide replies

"But, travel west and you will find that the Nano story is negative." ??
Travel west from Gujarat? To Pakistan or Arabia? This journalist is so anti-BJP that all she can think of is the Pak or the Arabs.
As for Bengal, everytime there's an election congress "deep pockets" raise this uproar that the left will be defeated this time. They find one issue or the other. Like "Buddha was not as good as Jyoti Basu" was the slogan last elections. Now its Nano. All rubbish!

* Communist leaders in India are real hypocrites.
* They advocate anti-capitalism to Indians.

Almost all Communist leaders in India have sent their sons and daughters to America as immigrants in the pretext of higher studies.

Mr Sudhir
Just think about the era of 5 years when TMC took over the Kolkata corporation.Till today even the CPM caders cannot deny that TMC did work for the people.Progress have been always her agenda.(That is the reason she did not object for 600 acres of land at Singur for the Tata factory). She was the only person to balance Industry and agriculture perfectly(600:400).It was this Hypocrite Govt along with the Tatas(who sold that land to the anciliery units at a much higer cost to make profit fron land), did not want this factory to be set up for commona man's benifit.

Mr Manish
I think what you wanted to say was she has become more matured now.CPM tried to make a dent in the pact with congress by using few of the congress leaders who tried to provoke mamata. However, this time she was matured enough not to give patta to them and ultimately managed to convince Soniaji for the seat arrangement.Maybe CPM cannot digest this now and saying she is becoming old.Actually they are admitting that she is becoming matured.

If bengal vote for cong/TMC , that will go to UPA and if Vote for CPI(M) that will also go to UPA. Hence, Bengal will only vote for UPA, Bengali's are being fooled once again in History. smile.

Time for a change?
by Joy Gupta on Mar 15, 2009 09:19 AM  | Hide replies

Although TMC may not have shown great hopes to the urban people, it has been able to gain the trust of the majority of the rural voters. Mamata has been able to project herself and her party as a fighter for causes which are dearer to the rural voters of WB. CPM is completely responsible for all this. They have lost the trust of the rural people because of the high-handedness of their cadres and ill-treatment of the common people. The party and its supporters behave as if they are the law. There are large scale of corruption among 99% of the party members. Rajarhat project was completely spoiled by Gautam Deb. Look at the speed of development there. All this gives Mamata a chance which shouldn't be unfair. Maybe its time for a change. It will give the people to really understand what is right and what is wrong.

You are right. But look at the fate of people of WB. Now they will be led by a party of unruly and indecisive peole, who believe in chaos then advancement of rural poor. That is why what we need is new set of people with pro people ideology.

We are fed up with all the current political entities playing around.

True. In fact 99% of the politicians we currently have as our leaders are corrupt and incompetent. But we have little choice. No leader is emerging with pro people and nationalistic ideology. In fact its time to think about revamping the outdated constitution we have.

Just think of the 5 year regime when TMC captured Kolkata corporation. That was the time when the city got the best Mayor. So it cannot be said that TMC cannot be a better alternative.

Hi Sudip

Can you please mention be what all were the acheivements of TMC in the Municipal corporation apart from Highland Park. I would like to know how many health check up centers were set up, how many apartments were done for the poor. As far as i am concerned Behala which has a TMC MLA and TMC MP and a TMC councillor is reeling under infrastructure being digged and not being taken care of till today.

WE SHOULD THINK IN LARGER PERPECTIVE OF THE COUNTRY NOT ONLY IN THE WELFARE OF THE STATE.COMMUNISTS ARE DEPLETED FORCE AND HAVING A FAILED IDOLOGY DISCARDED BY THE WORLD. WHY WE INDIAN STILL ALLOW THEM IMPLEMENT THEIR OBSOLETE IDEOLOGY TO PREVENT PROGRESS OF THE COUNTRY. SEE IN THE CASE NEUCLEAR DEAL OR COMPUTERISTION IN BENGAL. THEY ARE ALWAYS AN ANTI ESTABLISHMENT FORCE. THEY WILL KILL PEOPLE (NANDIGRAM, SINGUR TAPASI MALIK RAPE AND MURDER CASE, BIRBHUM NANUR CASE KILLED 10 FARMERS, KESHPUR CHOTA ANGARIA BURNT ALIVE CASE, THERE ARE 100 OF SCUH CASES, VIJAYAN CORUPTION CASES) MORE OR LESS THEY ARE THE BIGGEST SPY AGENT FOR CHINA. THEY WILL NOT USE A SINGLE WORD AGAINST CHINA WHEN THEY WILL TALK ABOUT ARUNACAHL. DO NOT FORGET THEIR ROLE IN 1962 CHINA WAR. POOR PEOPLE MAY FORGET BUT EDUCATED PEOPLE LIKE SHOULD NOT FORGET VERY QUICKLY.
