MJ means Magic
by anand reddy on Jun 27, 2009 07:07 AM  | Hide replies

No other artiste has such an impression across age groups, societies, cultures and nations than him ever. His untimely demise creates void in music industry that shall remain unfulfilled. Micheal Jackson, despite his scandals, bizzare life style shall remain in our hearts for ever for his contributions towards music & dance. May his soul rest in peace. Anand Reddy, Delhi.

DOC GOES MISSING
by thambi Iyer on Jun 27, 2009 07:05 AM  | Hide replies

SINCE I READ THE NEWS OF MJ HAVING DIED OF CARDIAC ARREST I WAS NOT CONVIENCED, SINCE EVERY DANCER THOSE WHO PERFORM CANNOT FOR ONCE BECOME A VICTIM OF THIS. THE DANCING AND SINGING REQUIRES LOT OF ENERGY WHICH THEY DEVELOP THROUGH SINGING, IN INDIA WE HAVE VIJANTHI MALA BALI,HEMAJI,AND MOST OF THE INDIAN ACTORS AN ACTRESS, OFTEN PRACTICE AND DEVELOP STAMINA WHICH KEEPS AWAY FROM HEART PROBLEMS. I DIFINATELY SUSPECT THE DOCTOR WHO INJECTED HIM LAST COULD HAVE INJECTED A AIR BALLOON, WHICH CAN STOP THE FLOW OF THE BLOOD TO THE HEART, OFCOURSE ITS THE PM BY THE DOCTORS WHO CAN FIND THIS, BUT AM SURE ITS NOT CARDIAC ARREST. GOD SAVE THE KING

American idols
by waste cricket on Jun 27, 2009 06:12 AM

A simple question - Why most, almost all, of the American celebrities even after earning money, fame, recognition and everything, still fail miserably in their personal lives and resort to such extreme steps in ending their lives or careers? Drug abuse, alchoholism, suicide attempts, killing or attempt to kill and so on?

"most of the western music is crap" ... well some of it is but not all. I am a tabla vishard, accompanied a lot of muscians. Couldn't have got any closer to indian music. Yet I love western music, play in a western band and above all ... admire MJ. You have to know "music" to understand how talented he was. A guy who can write, compose, sing and dance giving the world numerous hits ... HAS to be talented man !!Definitely its a huge loss to the music world...

Some corrections
1. In place of NOBODY, read NO WESTERN POP SINGER
2. in place of many centuries, read many years
3. in place of WHOLE INDIA, read SOME PEOPLE IN INDIA
4. in place of EVEN GOD NEED HIS ECTRAORDINARY TALENT, please scrap the sentence

He inspired the whole world.......
by Hari KM on Jun 27, 2009 03:09 AM  | Hide replies

It was only yesterday I showed the videos of Michael Jackson to my 6 yr old daughter...I told her how great a dancer, singer and an entertainer he was. I was surprised when my daughter said..." Papa! every film stars are jus copying him." She became an instant fan of him. She watched all his videos again and again on the youtube. It was then I realized how he is able to even impact a totally new generation.

I grew up with in the generation who admired Michael Jackson in his peak........u ask any top dancers or artist in India.....Prabhu Deva, Hrithick, Javed or anybody.....they all grew up influenced by him and in turn has helped them in their career in someway. World over we could take lots of examples. He conveyed wonderful inspirational messages to the world through his music. He is truly a legend which has brought changes to many in a big way. No body in the future can never ever beat his record sales or can be another like him.

I only wished the media and people stop tarnishing his image with assumptions. I feel only a shallow minded person would misunderstand him.

His legend will live on and you will see more of new age artist inspired by him. May his soul rest in peace.

MJ was highly talented;but what beats my understanding is why he changed his skin color and why he was in huge debt at the time of his death. A legend, I believe, should be a model citizen. A Legend should never be pitied after death!

That was a very aptly written obituary to the legendary singer/dancer. As I wrote in one of the earlier post in Rediff, his (MJ's) was a case of someone who could not handle his success properly. Everyone like to be successful. But after success comes our way it is very important to be able to handle success successfully. Not many celebrities do it properly. Many get carried away and end up spoiling themselves & their career in the process. Media plays an important role in adding fuel to the fire.

May MJ's soul rest in peace
