you still don't understand.

6.5% of 7% GDP growth (which is about 2tribillions USD may be 5000lakh crores ) go to 5% of indian population and rest 0.5% of growth to rest of (95%) population.

These 5% population included politican, corrupt official, land grabber, cunning businessman.

Do you understand now why rich become more rich and poor become more poorer

Indians mentallity
by Akram on Jun 13, 2009 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

Many indians (irrespective of religion, caste)feel they are entitled to do all kinds of attrocities, loot and by bribing a little share of the loot to authorities they can escape from the legal tangles. This is now being followed with the god too, by presenting a crown to Thirumala with ill-gotten wealth he would have thought he will escape from all his ill doings.

whether it is ill gotten money or otherwise, it would have been utilized for a purpose, like providing drinking water, electricity and roads, in the villages so as to bring the rural folks to the mainstream. I am not going at as to how he earned the money - mining itself indicates minting money illegally or legally. Serve the humans rather than gods. God does not need money.

These Reddy brothers are thugs of the greatest order. They do not have any love for the state but somehow wants to fill up their own pockets and make a show that they are charitable. It's time that they and the BJP Govt. are thrown out lest the state of Karnataka will be totally bankrupt.

Irony of ironies
by Mathil Fernandes on Jun 13, 2009 02:29 PM

Is'nt it ironic that on a webpage containing an article of a minister's obscene display of wealth, disguised as an offering to a deity there is a banner Ad right on top pleading for monetary support to educate financially backward children?

The minister in question talks of madhav seva and manav seva....but most religions I'm sure teaches us that helping others is the highest form of Madhav seva.

noone earn, not the govermnent from mining, it is just 5 ppls owner of mining company reddy, kummi ,made over 3000-5000crores in last 5 years. kunni own 100crores house in bangalore, and countless sites across karnataka. bjp made state bankurupt in one year, took loan about 10000crores from reserve bank. where will they get 300crores, how about other part of karnataka. north karnataka won't forgive bjp if they ignore this time. for change they votef bjp this time

Dont single out bellary miners
by lagaan on Jun 13, 2009 02:06 PM  | Hide replies

Mining in india caused and causing server damage to environment. It is not limited to bellary but look at kadappah(YSR), dhanbadh(mafia RJD), neyveli(Baalu n co) etc... where this is being done.

Due to political reasons bellary is being blown of proportions, as the miners are close to bjp and are showing off their wealth.

. Basically any mining causes damage to environment not just bellary.
2. Transport truck carrying this ore is subjected to weight chekcs to make sure they are not overloaded.
3. Each sortie makes them to pay tax for using the infra.
So it is for the govt to keep checks and balances on this

will you please brief in what way TR Baalu is connected with Neyveli mining. For a brief period Bihar is ruled by Nitish JD(u) AND you are calling it being controlled by mafia RJD.

Neyveli mining is being carried by NLC a PSU and i beleive now their is little mining being carried and most of the coal supplied to the thermal plant is imported.

I case of kadappa YSR may have links as he has been CM from 2004-till date.

there are no need of 5000 trucks to transport iron ore. they are rsky and unsafe for ppl on street, and costly. rail should be the main transport for these purpose

Where did the guy make so much money?
by chilkoor sachidev kumar on Jun 13, 2009 01:37 PM  | Hide replies

A minister makes such a costly offering and govt. sits mum not trying to find out where he got all this money from ? Whereas a passenger who had over 2 lacs of rupees and traveling by air on business get nabbed, hassled and questioned and a big report in the newspaper follows. How quixotic? India thy name is a land of paradoxes.
