Guns are out-dated
by Rajendra Rao on Jun 12, 2009 07:59 AM

I would personally recommend rocket launchers and machine guns- be like the white conservative Americans. Guns are for sissy girls.

Myth?
by Tushar S on Jun 11, 2009 11:28 PM

Your statement "...its members are not ready to confront the reality or even challenge the myths that surround our label as peace-loving people." is inflammatory - what myth are you talking about? Indians are peace-loving is a fact, not a myth. Why do Christians every where are obsessed with associating word "myth" with everything good in India?

Rediff is a American NGO company..we all know
by Middle Finger on Jun 11, 2009 06:13 PM

After losing out to Indian Skills, the bossess in US is using MEDIA to malign Indians.

I think Indians have tolerated too much of MEDIA's traitory.

From Politics to Cheap tricks, Media today is worse than a PR. ST TE

SHAME, all people working for REDIFF and MEDIA are not more than a CHAKLA STAFF...selling their own soul.

Attacks on Indian Students
by Abhijit on Jun 11, 2009 06:05 PM  | Hide replies

It is - attacks on North Indian Students

It is normal & bound to happen. With their ugly living & arrogant behavior, they are getting beaten in all parts of world. In India as well as in US, Canada, Australia.

Just think, why South Indians or Marathi, Gujrati, Marwari are not getting attacked?

You are a stupid of aggravated level. Read the article, most of the people who killed their families are South Indians. Don't be so eager to create a north India and South India rift.

Common Sense
by Atul Neogi on Jun 10, 2009 12:06 PM  | Hide replies

It is plain common sense that ability to do bad things without consequence make people cowards and take short cuts.

In India, due to population, every area cannot be policed. We find guys urinating in public.

Likewise with firearms easily available and extent of unsolved crimes, make shootings dime a dozen.

Same mentality. All things like Freedom, defence, Mental illness etc are poor arguments which will not hold water.

Given a choice between a gun and a hammer as an assault weapon, one knows which of the two is more glamorous and the ideal choice. Case closed.

most important sentence for war on terror
by Devdutt Nayak on Jun 10, 2009 11:58 AM  | Hide replies

Nationally about 350,000 firearm-related murders, robberies, and aggravated assaults occur yearly, according to Federal Bureau of Investigation statistics.

This means that terrorism is a high-visibility media business, not a threat at all.
Dispute this and you should be crowned king of fools.
