this journalist must be a self-hater. How can he profile the community this way. What is wrong with indians acquiring guns? Just because 2-3 people did something means everyone is becoming violant? As soon as an indian commits a crime, such articles start appear as if all indians need to be perfect. This article must have been paid by the pope or saudis

I don't agree. The journalist is saying that the gun culture is an American phenomenon, which has been adopted by Indians when they move to that country. In fact, I know a few Indians living in the US who own guns.
The gun culture in the US is quite unusual. Americans regard it as a fundamental right to carry a gun. The National Rifles Association, which has been mentioned in this article, is a powerful lobby group with close links to both political parties. They block all legislations which aims to make gun possession difficult.

It is indeed a immature article on Firearms and Indians involving with fire arms. It is people who kill people and not guns. A man can kill other man using a hammer. Yes I'm Indian. I love Guns (so do I love tools in my Garage like a hammer). I also have dogs and motorcycles (is that part of American culture too...?). Bottom line is if you come and slap me on my face, I would definitely slap you back.I was like that before I moved to USA :-)
