These assailants seem to be agents of RAW who have been hoodwinked into believeing that they are doing service for sikhism by killing the guru so as to foment trouble within punjab a la Indira gandhi style when she used bindranwale to instigate trouble inside punjab.
Is this because we don't have anything better to do ? Or is this in our blood. Maybe this is the case since I don't hear Brits fighting Brits in another country, French fighting French in another country, Aus vs Aus in another country etc. What a shame.

goto panthic dot org and read the report on this attack , get the bigger picture
In India people do the same thing ... see Graham stein murder. There are numerous murders done by Indians. If one Indian priest dies in western countries people create uproar here.

well why does keep this niranjan dass sikh and refer to ravidasis as sikhs..these fakes are just exploiting people in the name of caste. Anybody who wants to understand sikhs or their should get some background information. In india the goverment agencies are hell bent on destorting ancient and modern history of sikhs.I will ask all indians to not get misinformed , in few days the it will be 25th aniversity of masacre of sikh in blue star operations. with so many news channels who would imagine there would be detailed investigative journalism on this issue but no . all the media want to do is become mouthpiece for the goverment. when i was young i learnt about pillars of democracy law enforcement, justice system and representation of people. Help me understand which pillar still stands upright? the author of this article is careless in using terms sikh priest and gurdwara where none of these terms apply in this case. Rediff should raise the standard of its reporting at present you guys are just a bunch of jokers............

Have you ever tried to know why so many deras come up in punjab? keep ur emotions aside. Have the dalit sikhs got the social justice in punjab? why 85% of jobs in punjab are help by member of particular community although dalits population is more than 50%

absolutely right, i agree with your views. Dalit Sikhs never got social justice in punjab. The upper caste Sikhs always try to marginalise them.

dalit sikhs ? what sort of term is that , you can not be dalit if you are a sikh... read sikh history and about panj pyaras. And when did this discrimination started between different castes ... people can say whatever they want to but whenever you want to do proper analysis look at situation in punjab before sikhism, during the rise of sikhs , during british rule and now under the deomocracy.
also compare it with rest of the country , i am looking for some educated reply.
my assumption is that when a person becomes sikh ie with Bana and Bani than he can not remain in a miserable state. he doesnt need any special concessions in the form of reservations etc.. There should be review that has the reservation policy of the goverment infact detoriated the situation in punjab and rest of the country. I am you could not be denied entry into a gurdwara on the basis of your caste but yes i know from one my bihari (high caste khatri )frnd of mine that in his village still you would be denied entry to the temple. Also i suggest read the history of Akalis and c what they have become today . Akalis dont represent sikhs , now they are just politicians for whom vote is most important principle just like congress. Social justice? if it means creating vote banks and keeping them poor than that sikhs cant do.this is height of stupidity that after doing ardas infront of Guru Granth sahib you take an idol of bhagat ravidas in procession( no idol worship in sikhism).common sense

Ravinder, Punjab is a highly unequal society. There is a Brahmanistic SGPC and all so called 'real' Sikhs blindly follow what these Pundits say. The other non Hindu Granth Sahib following people have been marginalized. In terms of lands, govt jobs, loans, all aspects of the society. The fragmentation of Sikh society has been exploited by Congress from Indira Gandhi days when she set Nirankaris and Akalis against each other resulting in the assassin of Nirankari Guru. You can keep preaching fundamentalist Sikhism i.e. interpretation of SGPC, on this forum, but look at the ground reality first.
This proves it that Congress to consolidate on their DERA vote bank did this. Also, notable is that they want to impose article 356 in Punjab and dismiss the NDA govt.
Congress is notorious and has done this in the past.
