Without making the foolish error of Gandhi who once rebuked Indians that earth Quakes of Mungher and else-where were the retribution of treating Untouchables as sub -humans, I would certainly wish that Peasants must rise and chastise these Khaps of various Jat communities of Haryana by stopping indulging in medieval jingoism of Gotra on boys and girls who defy their Diktats.D. Boss, these are the farmers which give the rice and wheat to eat. And it is required for each individual. When Govt is thinking of bailing out Air India which does not affect 70% of Indian population where as farmer of India serves 100% of Indian population. So I donot see anything wrong in it if govt is ready to help poor farmer with tax money paid by me. I hope everyone will agree with me.

yOU ARE WRONG mR.tHAKRAL !!!Air India does not affect even 5% of Indian population.Next can we have some real serious work on water managementfrom the GOV as it qwns all the land in this country ?
the electricity board personel only need bribe and not depends upon there salary so plz give them the money and get your transformer changed all what they need is money money and money and nothing else and govt. is also sleeping .......... why don't they provide enough power supply to farmer ...... all other industry gets adequate power supply around 12 months and why farmer dont get it for 3 months also wat about the persons living in dhanis(farm house)get the home supply as per as the 24 hr supply to the villages how the electricity board can differentiate the two consumers of same village in terms of electricity supply
Poor monsoons wreaking havoc on the lives of lakhs of farmers is nothing new.
Did the government not have the common sense to build rainwater harvesting tanks in villages under the flagship Employment Guarantee Scheme, which would have at least partially alleviated the effect of a bad monsoon?

Shoban Babu, most state govenments do not want rain water harvesting projects, BJP ruled states are exceptions. Look at Gujrat, where proper water management and irrigation facities have resulted in 14% compounded annual growth rate for agricultre. Farm incomes have tripled in the last six years....
