Be Alert before recruiting technical graduates BE/BTECH/MCA as most of two and their colleges have no faculty and infrastructure at all. Please do not surprise as it is also available to pay the money and allow another person/student to appear in behalf of that rich student. This is unfortunate and disgusting. Present education system of India is most corrupt which Indians have ever seen. SHAME ON AICTE and all such corrupt regulatory authorities. This country is now going ahead in corruption with African countries. This is true picture based on my three decades experience in many Indian Universities.
I have got some opportunities to meet Dr. K Narayana Rao in the past. He is extreme patriot and was working against the corruption in AICTE. He took lots of initiatives to curb corruption in AICTE. There were many incidents in the past, he was sad and felt that it was difficult to fight corruption. But today's incidence again proved that truth faces tough time and misery in the present day system.
He is a brave Indian who dared to fight against corruption but the corrupt lobby was successful in framing him.

Dr. K Narayana Rao is the most sadist and corrupt person i have known in mechanical dept of osmania university. His degree should be cancelled as a punishment. He known for harassing his students
It is only in India this is happening: 1. Technical courses are run by roadside institutions who publicly advertise on the street walls and hand bills 'AICTE' approved or affiliated and recognised by umpty dumpty University. When complaints are sent no action is taken. May be, the complaints will be a new source of income for the university officials (with may be few exceptions) or AICTE who will immediately ask the advertiser to pay. 2. Technical courses are started anywhere and when a student asks whether there is any clearance required by AICTE, the management says it is ISO certified and University approved or say that the Institution is in the top 10 as per the survey by any newspaper. 3. It is only in India that students are enrolled without a laboratory or classrooms to teach and then start the facilities after looting money from the students. Nobody bothers whereas it is understood that the student does not sit in the same class again but has learned nothing during the 'development' and 'construction' of the facilities. Once two to three batches are out, charge more capitation fees and more money will come in. 4. This is the sad state of Indian education system and the HRD ministry sleeps over all these issues and never collects feed back from the teachers who are working at these institutions. A large number of these teachers are under employed and frustrated because the managements say that 'we do not care for you teachers because there is AICTE- OUR GOD FATHER'.

In tamilnadu alone for this year nearly 80 engineering colleges and 40 polytechnics they have given approval. all these must be stopped and reinspected for five years no approval should be given whatever may be government or private.
Looking into the Prof. K Narayan Rao case it is unfortunate to him. In case of Pharmacy courses like B.Pharm and M.Pharm you find similar approvals were given to start the colleges without qualified faculties and required infrastructures to run the above said program. In todays status one may find mushrooms of pharmacy colleges approved by AICTE for a single state of Andhra Pradesh which brings the status of pharmacy education system to down fall. If the students pass out from these colleges with out sufficient knowledge will be a seldom to system who are involved in the development of health care of India. It is requested to AICTE to scan the approvals given from past 3 years for B. Pharm, M.Pharm courses.

There seems to be smell of sinister design when it is reported that there has been allegation "by the managements of private colleges in hushed tones about how they were being made to pay through their nose for various approvals and clearances." I wonder if they were unwilling partners in this sordid game. For every type of corruptions, the only party that suffer and pay through their nose are those Innocent Public/Amm Admi who refuse take Bribes(becaus of their terrible ailment called honesty) or those that donot get Bribe for their wretched condition. Nobody else.

Ramesh C, What you are saying is 100% correct. I am in the field of education for the last 30 years and I find totally gone cases students of India doing Ph.D. and other courses in US,UK, Canada and Australia by paying money. This corruption in education is all over the world. A month's interaction in a class room is enough to make out who can be a future scientist or technocrat or who can become an entrepreneur. How the agencies that give approval do not understand that a student does not come back to the same class again and what he has lost due to lack of facilities can be got back. That is why a Postgraduate in instrumentation does not know the basics because the institution does not provide anything but simply charges fees and writes on the certificate AICTE approved. Lastly these institutions although coming under consumer protection Act go scot free because no student will complain for 'deficiency in service' although the institution will be liable to pay huge amount to the students. Education is coming under 'Consumer Protection Act' but a large number of institutions have many bouncers inside to tackle these 'questioning' students. Jai Ho Indian education system which is supposed to be the Everest for all the countries of the world because Indians are the most wanted and imagine the education systems they have!
All the corrupt AICTE officials to be severly punished and Honest professionals to govern the Technical Education Body. The State and central politicians should not support these corrupt people
It is better to implement the recommendations of Yashpal committee by abolishing UGC and AICTE. These authorities are only responsible for mushroom growth of deemed universities and unfit engineering colleges in our country. See the case of Anna university Coimbatore VC who started his own engineering college under his wife's name. How can a public servant with monthly salary can afford this? Self retired politicians and serving politicians, Goondas, Dadhas , Flourishing merchants have started their engineering colleges without any infrastructure, qualified faculty. Atleast the present Government do a Full stop to this menace by abolishing UGC and AICTE. It is high time Govt to form National Board of Higher Education with eminent Educationalists and Corrupt free Administrators and cancel all the orders of present AICTE.

NO MORE ENGINEERING COLLEGES AND POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE. LET AUTHORITIES MAKE THE EXISTING COLLEGES TO IMPROVE BETTER TRY TO GET ACCREDITION BY THE BOARD. LET THE APROVAL MAY BE STOPPED FOR SOME TIME TILL EVERYTHING SORT IT ALRIGHT.
How long it will be before it is to decide that the person is GUILTY or INNOCENT, specialy as the report goes that he has been caught red handed.
