Harvesting Rainwater?
by Krishnamurthy Seshan on Jul 10, 2009 10:44 PM  | Hide replies

India is lukiest to have been provided with World's heaviest rainfall area --Chirapunjee,by Mother nature.Approx. 70% of this rain water is going to Bay Of Bengal.Even God will not forgive us, for wasting water. Why not channalise this water and drive to parched areas so that new ground for crop production is also made.We are boasting of advanced state but where is the scheme to divert this Chirapunjee rain water. It is not something I only, know of.Why Govt is doing nothing on this matter. What prevents the govt.from diverting the water instead of going to Sea.
