Yes, the torture proves the brutality of police. Even if the ran with revolver, it was that torture that provoked him to do so.

All those guilty policemen should be hanged in public.

You are right. Moreover, it also raises doubts whether the young man really had a revolver with him!

Policemen biggest criminals
by Rahul on Jul 06, 2009 09:01 AM

Amnesty International had rightly remarked that Indian Police is the largest organized criminal gang in India. The Govt. also doesnto trust them hence they do not want to gibe Polcie more powers like confessions in front of police as adminible proof in court. Untill tough and visible action is taken against these mindless goondas nothing will change. When we have terrorist attacks they hide with tails between legs but want to show their machoism on innocent citizens, bar girls, ticketless travellers, roadside hawkers and romeo juliets in park. Shame on their capability

I THINK IF A MAN RUNS AWAY WITH POLICE PISTOL
by save india on Jul 06, 2009 01:44 AM  | Hide replies

Than he is no way 'innocent', police should have killed him or not killed him is another discussion. Many Indians are usually have 'rowdy' behavior, mostly youths from north tend to behave in uncivilized manner due to poor upbringing and the money, gun and power culture rampant in north.

Save India (or destroy India?),

Read the topic carefuly...it is said "The police CLAIMED that Singh was shot dead in an encounter after he fled with a sub-inspector's revolver".

Clearly this is a story made up by police to save face.

Dont forget Amnesty International have already called Indian police as "biggest organized criminals".

This happens every where in India. Uttrakand got the exposure. Dont bring in BJP into this. Afew years back in TN the police forced the wife of a criminal into sexual act in front of her husband when he asked for water and then killed him too. There is no difference between police and criminals and politicians in India. If these guys are not either police or netas they will be criminals.

This is the sure way not to check insurgency
by Haramohan Roy on Jul 05, 2009 11:25 PM

This isthe sure way not to check the insurgency. As long as the Indian police will go on killing innocent people in this way, the Indians will continue to distrust the police. And, when the people of a country distrust the police, how can insurgency be checked?

Shame and outrage
by Haramohan Roy on Jul 05, 2009 11:22 PM  | Hide replies

I feel shame and outrage when I learn that the police killed a young man. The police should know that they get paid because of the tax-paying citizens, and they should behave with the people accordingly!

I hope and believe that the killer policemen will get the punishment of their life!

Fake encounter of an MBA graduate is sad. Nobody prevents you from raising your voice about unlawful killing of tribals.
