If Sanju wins Thakur Amar Singh would voluntarily become his door mat and hang around him wherever he goes. If he looses Amar Singh would revert back to adore Bachan's door.

Changing surnames?
by Kalpana Natarajan on Jan 21, 2009 08:57 PM  | Hide replies

Well Sanjay has not only jumped into politics, but has also sparked a debate on a woman retaining her surname, a direct dig at Priya Dutt and may be even Priyanka Gandhi

THose days women had to depend on a man for survival, and she had no identity and stand of her own. Now, things ahve changed. Woman doesnt have to look up to her man for survival, more than love.

Now marriages happen out of mutual respect and love. Out of love a woman would love to call her self Mrs. Husband Name, and she may change her name. However if the same thing happens out of force she will resist.

Mr. Sanjay Dutt is pissed off with his sister, and with her opinions about his wife. He is frustrated that his sister is still tagging along with him in the family. Instead of telling Priya, to mind her own business, he has taken a dig at her surname. This is not an opinion after giving both sides equal thought. Its an opinion out of a fit of anger. hence its invalid, and not worht discussing. If there was a "Cannot Say" sectino I would post my opinion under that.

his comments are not worth discussing. Well thats not the point.

Firstly, it irritates seeing a man who has no character, jumping into politics and wanting to "serve the people..." and on top of that he advices women to change their surnames after marriage and not "offend" their husbands.

I am sure if Priya had accepted manyata, we would not have received a sermon on surnames! May be that time he will preach modern thoughts!

Had Sunil Dutt been a beggar Priya Dutt would not have been carrying his sur name.

I think Sajay Dutt is right when he says that girl should adopt his husbands ir name. Afterall one of the two have to and better if girl do it because if you deprive a man of his father sir name then very existence of family will vanish. It is well known to the world that who is mother of child but father?

I think your comments are in extremely poor taste. I can give you a 100 examples of women who come from regular average families and have retained their maiden name. Gupt ji its time to dump your MCP mentality/

Well secularism means hailing SIMI as the most forward looking progressive organiasation, Dawood as he most valuable national loving NRI, Afzal Guru as a freedon fighter and you, Inidan Reader as a secular. God how I wish these creatures could be trampled and sent back to where they belong. But alas, we are a secular country and hence, Afzal Guru cannot be hanged and Indian Reader has to be tolerated.

CONGRESS AND SAMAJWADI PARTY SHARE SAME VIEWS ON MINORITY APPEASEMENT. THIS CRIMINAL WILL RUN FOR THE MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT AND HE WILL BE IN CHARGE OF SECURITY OF INDIA. HE WILL BE THE NEXT CHUMCHA OF SONIAJI. PITY, INDIA IS RUN BY THE CRIMINALS AND FOREIGN AGENTS. TIME HAS COME FOR INDIANS TO LOOK FOR OTHER ALTERNATIVES.

But what is the necessity of running for PM when hirelings and their twelveinchpipes can do the job? The problem is only for people who are trying to keep India independent and undivided.

When mass murderers can contest that day is not far away, by any stretch of imagination, in fact it would be the next elections.
