With his short hairs, something must be amiss, as going at 300 km/h on land can be breathtaking. Ordinary people have their hair raised, but how about our Laluji. At least his ear-hairs must have risen up inches.
Look forward to some similar projects in India, by the what happened to his project on installing chemical toilets like in flights to ensure our passengers do not defecate all over the country side.
I have once seen spit paan while standing on a railway platform. It was amazing because of the quantity he spat out. What did he do now? Did he bite the bullet and spit it out?
Today, Lalu stands amongst the leading best performing Ministers like Pranab Mukherjee, Chidambaram, Kamal Nath, Sibal etc. He has shown a rare vision and leadership in trans- forming the face of Indian Railways and almost eliminated the blackmarketing of railway tickets, highly prevalent a few years ago, by introducing online booking. A few hiccups remain, like platform tickets at an odd price of Rs.3 leading to fights for change, 3 side berths instead of 2 earlier etc. With 300km bullet trains, I am sure, the travel time from Bangalore to Chennai can be reduced to 1-1.5 from the present 6/7 hours, Mumbai-Delhi, Kolkata-Chennai all can be reduced significant ly. It is high time, the PM entrusts him with some more Ministries after election like the sleepy Post & Telegraphs so that they can benefit from his visionary leadership. This man has tremendous capacity to take on challenging work head-on.
People here are demanding lalu like minister in all departments of government of India... from home ministry to civil aviation to petrolium.... Lalu alone can't hold so many portfolios...the best way would be to make few clones of Lalu and hand them over these departments...and send one clone as a PM of India! This man has got the vision and brain. He knows how to rule!

Some member here posting message in favour and some in not favour of Lallu Yadav. My view is as below.
1. Rialway made profits during tenure of lallu yadav time. 2. Lallu Yadav did not increase Railway fare since last 4 years, this is great acheivement. 3. There is no train accident during his tenure. Thus he will be not only known as Railway Minister but Excellent Central Minister in UPA govt. In fact he proved that Higher Eductaion like MMS can not work . Only good decision at right time leads the organization to the TOP. As compared to MMS or any other Minister in UPA lallu Yadav in his role has done excellent Job. If next time by default UPA comes to Power than Lallyu Yadav should take responsibility of Civil Avaition Ministry. I hope he will do better there also.
Thanks to lallu Yadav. He served the country. I will not comments on his other role in his party or in his role in UPA. Assesment should be for his contribution and the job he delivered.

Yes 100 % agree. No doubt on his Job performance. Yes his Ministry should be changed so that he could do more in other department.
I feel if he made Home Minister Definetly he will bring great change.

Once again is his criminal brain worked.
Tatkal tickets increased. Hence normal availibilty reduced. W/L tickets are increased and even W/L is issued under Tatkal scheme. If these are cancelled rly. will get their income any how. Extra tatkal fare is almost 1/3 of the normal cost.
All Pantry car & canteen are handover to IRCTC (Money minting unit for rly.) They sub lease these at very higher rates. Result they try and sell cheaper items (regardless of quality). Rates for a meal in pantry is very high, unhygenic, tasteless while compared to those sold by footpath stalls.
Moreover they are now asking the stall owners to sell only those products (Major)which has IRCTC seal (Available on paying fee & bribing) thus side lining many local products which are far better than those have ISO/ISI marked.
But.... they do not have any such critiria for Food supplied in pantry or quality of drinking water supplied in Rly. stations or for THE CONDITION OF COACHES.
The condition of most of the coaches are horrible: Filled with cockroaches, undusted, semi wiped, toilets & wash basin semi cleaned, unhygenic.
When there is no maintance and having such policy ofcourse you can reduce expense.
Other great joke is GARIB RATH (fully A/c. coach) Travel by these train you will find no poor travelling in these train.

1. converted many trains to superfast for name sake only without increasing the efficiency and decreasing time lines. 2. Travel times of trains like shatabdi have increased. 3. Reservation charges increased. 4. Return journey charges more than one side journey. 5. Increaed tatkal coaches at the cost of ordinary coaches thereby increasing the revenues.
Dear Sir Laloo ji has very conviniently extracted money from your pocket and also earned respect from people. Ultimately we are shelling money.

one can't be 100% perfect...but the fact will remain now that lalu transformed sick railways into money spinner... aap bhi khush hum bhi khush.. chalte rahe apni chukchuk!
