There is no point in Hanging Kasab when Afzal Guru is still not hanged. We need to hang him first that then if possible do the same to Kasab. Kasab should only be executed after the India government has executed the great leader Afzal Guru !

Yes. Kasab has been a useful pawn against Pakistan. He has caused them more pain than anyone else. His giving full details has helped India's cause.
On the other hand Afzal Guru has just done damage to the legal system and has been a shame. First Afzal Guru must be hanged. Kasab can be dealt with later - more can be squeezed out by keeping him alive.
I do not see any use in Killing or torturing Ajmal Kasab and i totally agree with Anita Karkare. Reasons are:
1) Ajmal Kasab is a total brainwashed Illiterate. He did not have any goals in life. No purpose to live and he was used. He does not have any personal mottos in killing Indians.
2) Does killing Kasab teach a story to other terrorists. Certainly not because they are more of suicide bombers who are ready to get killed or they keep the bombs and operate it from somewhere. They are ready to die. They are least bothered if Kasab is murdered, hanged or whatever.
3) There is no use in punishing a weapon(Ajmal Kasab). The actual user of the weapon is sitting in a comforatble couch in Pakistan and having a nice laugh reading stories given by media.

Release of Kasab will be used in two ways his masters. i) They will tout it as Allah's miracle and use as inspiration on even more number of terrorists. ii) Terrorists who are afraid for their life will be convinced that India is a soft state and they will be back alive. If you are reading some news, his colleagues sent to Kashmir are already nervous that rest of their colleagues were killed in Mumbai. However, I agree that we need to go after his controlling masters.
I think Indian Police should put Kasab near gateway of India for people to humiliate kasab verbally (not physically) and then Hnag him.So that he gets humiliated nicely and future terrorist should think twice before coming to India...

On hindsight it appears to be a mistake. But that time, terrorism was not as widespread as it is today. It made sense to rescue hostages in exchange of a few prisoners. In today's circumstances, even NDA govt. will refuse to negotiate with terrorists. In fact, it'll be tougher on terror.

The released terrorists went on to do much bigger terror acts - and in fact planned much bigger attacks including this one. BJP showed their uselessness at that time - what will they do different now?

Are you saying that if Azhar was not released, there would be no terrorism against India? Wake up man!!! They have got a factory of terrorist leaders and terrorists in Pakistan. If not him, somebody else would do it. As long as they see any state soft on terror, they 'll attack.
Take Kasab to all the places in Mumbai which were terrorized and one body part each at all these places every month. After cutting one part, recover him completely. At the end, Kasab should not have 2 hands, 2 legs , 2 ears , 1 nose , 2 eyes! That means 9 months from now.. which would take it to December 2009. And then at the end of it HANG HIM from the Gateway on new year's eve! What Say??
Anita Karkare (Hemant Karkare's wife) should know that her statements and stance does not make her different but appear extremely stupid. The fact that her husband was killed in the fight does not make her any wiser or validate the justification of what she says.
We are a mature nation. We need to human rights values in this country. Our leaders have shown tremedous courage and maturity in dealing with the situation. We need to show to the world how good we are. Our PM should travel to Wagah border and hand over Kasab personally to Pakistan. We reject terrorism and terror in all forms. We should live in peace with our neighbors. We should show the path of forgiveness, peace and love to all. WE ARE GREAT.
