Praveen Balan
the Fate of a brave commando
by Praveen Balan on Jan 10, 2009 12:34 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Readers,

Please spent a few minutes to read the sad story of a cammondo who participated in Mumbai operation. He was critically injured on his head and was admitted in mumbai hospital.Later he was discharged (not in walking condition , partially paralysed )and he had to travel to his native place (kannur in kerala) in an express train spending more than 20 hours. The brave man fought 60 hours for the country and he was given such a bad treatment when our ministers and useless polititians are travelling in planes and helicopters for nothing. What a disgrace for us. Are these brave people not eligible to travel in planes and luxury buses? They have only to depend on second class sleeper coach in trains and BEST buses for transportation. In India you must either be born as a polititian or a cricketer inorder to have a luxury life.

i do sympathize is with omble's daughter. but will hangin ajmal at gateway of india solve the issue. he needs to go to the law of the land and due punishment should be awarded. but what needs to be taken care of is entering into the grass root issue of terrorism. that has to be worked out. we all need to put our thought process together, and should not taken decisions on emotional grounds

Yes it will solve the problem. A punishment is a deterrent message for other would-be terrorists. You might not have lost someone to his bullets but a lot of poor people who do not have big names but were lone bread winners to the family have lost their loved ones for what? Because mad people like Kasab wanted to have a free run and people like you want them to go scot free. If we can't give him death sentence, let us atleast outsource that job to Saudi Arabia. They know how to kill a convicted Muslim. First physical torture and then when the body can no more bear the pain he is awarded capital punishment.

DO THE NSG COMONDAS HAVE TO FAST DURING OPERATIONS? CHANGE SYSTEM
by austino on Jan 10, 2009 11:29 AM  | Hide replies

On November 28th when the NSG operation began about 100 commandoes were standing in the lane in front of my house. They needed Bisleri water. I told my brother & 2 friends, Rocky and the others, to get Bisleri from anywhere. So while the NSG operation was on our operation was on to get water.
The men went over to Kohinoor store near Kamal Mansion (a large corner store near Radio Club that caters to many tourists). We called the owner and opened up the shop. We got 20 to 25 boxes of Bisleri from there. We got 200 boxes of biscuits. We gave each commando one bottle and one biscuit packet. They were amused.

But at the end Major Guptaji told me: 'We have held operations all over India, but the help we got in Colaba from you people and the public, we have not got anywhere else.' There were tears in their (NSG commandos') eyes. They said they would not forget this ever. And that was why they sent the letter.
