The very essence of the partition was religion. Mass migration of people of different religions to and from India to Pakistan and vice versa with millions killed unmercifully is still embeded deep in the Indian/Pakistani psych. The resultant hatred still continues, and it is more so from Pakistanis where freedom of religion is basically an eyewash. Indian Muslims are still hoping that one day that Pakistan will liberate them from Hindu rule (which incidentally, is more Xtian based). Whatever may happen in Washington DC is purely co-incidental and have no basis on reality.
