The electronic media has played a major role in not letting the 2002 events of Gujarat, get relegated to history, both through news programs and through films etc.

Now, India's independent, secular and unbiased electronic media must ensure that the 1984 events remain in the public eye.

1984 was just two years after color TV came to India. Most people, would have come to know of the horrors of the events through the print media, e.g. India Today. Most people, excluding the victims' near ones, would have probably forgotten about the events.

However, there must be numerous Human Interest stories waiting to be told and the electronic media must tell them.
There are numerous films waiting to be made, and the activist film makers, must make them.

There are parallels in India, where based on media generated public opinion & awarness, cases that have been seemingly shut down, have been reopened and justice, done.

We have a fair and unbiased Judiciary.

It is now the Electronic Media's chance to redeem itself, and prove that it is indeed truly secular, unbiased and above all, fearless. Is there any end to Congress and its shameless supporters hypocrisy
