I understand if you hate SG. However it would be incredibly naive to think that Mayawati's political standing is bigger than Sonia's. Hate should not make one blind to reality.

In any case Mayawatis' Political standing is much large and bigger than Sonia's. Even after all this i am sure Congress will lick to BSP in general and Mayawati in specific after next general elections.
Prashant, take off your Congress goggles and look at reality, who has a larger political base. Congress is only winning in AMethi and Raebareli, whereas u knw BSP base. IN other states too, people dont have an alternative, if they have, people will give a chance to others.
Moreoever, she is not elected party president, she is imposed party president in the monarchic democracy of congress.
Mayavati is a regional party leader Sonia is the leader of biggest party in India and in last elections people put faith in her from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
Mayavati is quite corrupt and non-sense basically. Her efforts to halt some development in UP will boomerang on her. This is big fault by her - giving political space for Congress in the already BSP-SP filled space.
Look at UP, Bihar - Congress is not in power in these 2 states for last 3 decades or so. If something good happened in these states, it was during those old Congress days. Once the mandal parties and BJP started ruling, these states are at the bottom.

what some people don't understand it was not a vote for Sonia Gandhi, it was for Congress party. Sonia Gandhi is forced on people. Results would have been same even if Sonia was not there, and could be better if People like PV Narsimha Rao, Rajesh Pilot or Madhav Rao Scindia were PM nominees. 2009 Loksabha elections will tell you how many people votes for Sonia. In 2009 congress votes will be Sonia's votes and I can bet you they're not gonna get more than 50 seats

Why cant Sonia Gandhi win election in some well populated and well informed area like Delhi, Mumbai,Lucknow or even noida, why do they depend on vote banks to win. Sonia has shown her true color a leader of only Rae Bariely, who else would vote for someone who cant even speak hindi, is somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Sonia has at least won from few places like Amethi, Rae Barelli and Bellary. Why this Advani always run to Gandhinagar when elections are round the corner????? Why he dont go Hyderabad or Chennai and put a nomination????

SP achived for India something, having non-dynasty PM and then SP became greedy and corrupt to fall for nuclear deal. So SP was passage, not destination.

Con't--since when has Rae Bareli become Feroze(did he rise from the grave suddenly) Indira and Rajiv's "bhoomi" it belongs to the people of India not a corrupt thieving family. For 50 years its has been a neglected area--no schools, universities, hospitals modernization of farmers.

hope new parties stay off making delhi as HQ, make it jaipur, kolkatta, chandigargh...
but not with/around parasite from all over india that made it to delhi like dixit...ambika soni...renuka chaudhary...singhvi..etc.

Has Mayawati done anything for development ? Raised statues of Kanshi Ram in every possible place. The poor uneducated lower caste vote bank which she controls, unfortunately doesnt understand this. And she continues to keep them in dark to protect her votes.

It is reported that Mayawati had special relations with Kanshi Ram...thus no need to get married. Kanshi gave her everything...her physical, emotional, educational and political needs.
Sonia & Laloo were going to do bhoomipoojan just for the votes sake, People of Rae Barelly would have waited for ever for the factory to come up, like they are waiting for 100 other projects promised by Nehru family for the votes sake, Karambhoomi!!!! That is why she is holding one of top post in Govt. That is why she was able to snatch power from NDA. Why she has to do any thing for vote sake in Rae Bareli or Amethi. Congress vote has not gone any where in those constituency. You people never leave any one whether one does development or not.. Mayawati may risen from dust but she is not powered as sonia. UP ka minister ban ne se koi prime minister nahi banta.. Now if Sonia got it by dynasty its her luck.. I am not fan of Gandhis but not a fan of Maya either. She has been cursing center and Sonia for a while now if she open mouth why its burning for her. for Maya development is to create her statues, making Taj Corridor or whatever.. Mulayam, Maya or Sonia.. UP is not going to develop till vote bank, religious and cast politics is being played there..

If you really look at it there's no credit to Maino Antonia for snatching the power from NDA or Sitting on the top post. Congress didn't even declare her as the PM candidate. She's forced on to people by her chamchas. Have you ever seen a single interview of Sonia Gandhi. Till today, she can't speak a word without reading. She's an absolute disgrace. Imagine a party where Presidents and Maha Sachivs post are given without opposition to Gandhi family. When Jitendra Prasad filed his nomination against Sonia Gandhi for Congress President's post he was damned by every Congressee, that's the limit of chamchagiri in this rotten party, so don't tell me that She has any iota of talent to be where she's today...
