The coverage on the TV channels showed the ghastly act. One cop was repeatedly beating the MPs head with a lathi. How can they attack unarmed persons like this? These blighters show their skills in catching the naxalites. But this doesnt happen.

It's shame laloo let loose his guys against BJP. If it would be a Congress MP beaten by police, congress send central teams, put Article 355. It's a shame on UPA/Laloo to use police to settle personal score out of frustration against BJP, now great Modi is aqcuitted, what next. Hitting opponents & eliminating them !! Bravo

It is indeed a sad day, when an MP can be brutally manhandled, then what is surety of security for citizens. Police are themselves punishing people then what's the role of the courts? Then we should end all courts and give police complete powers even to shoot down all terrorists.

Only sea is not reason for it. 95% of our PRIME MINISTERS were from UP but UP is undeveloped but all the ministers are well developed in all aspects. Your leaders are not interested in developing UP & BIHAR.

what developement is there in Orissa and west bengal.Tibals are dying orissa.Bengali girls are working in mumbai dance bars.Females from Andhra pradesh is the majority in Kamatipura.The people of Tamil Nadu is sleeping in the streets of Kerala and Karnatka.The people of Kerala are trying hard in gulf to survive.The people of Maharahtra are dying in Vidharaba dur to drought and crop failure.
you are very confused.Sea access is not the criteria for development.With out sea access Punjab is more deveoloped than any other states.

The last point which you raised Mr. Ram Mohan is quite correct. But, earlier points were irrelevant to the topic posted by Mr. Sameer. I would like to make correct on onething about Orissa i.e. there is much more devlopment happening in Orissa and last 7 to 8 years it is the second best state in the country after Gujrat to pull foreign Co.s as well as Indian Co.s investment to it's state (nearly USD$ 47 billion). The thing is as everybody knows there are many project still pending to get approval from centre and many projects have been started working and so as few are under pipeline. If you see the official record from our central govt. it has progress 77% (last 5 years) faster than it's last 30 years of time. As it was one of the poorest state in past, so it will take time to compete with other developed states in future. And, talking about tribals are not dying in hunger may be dying due to communal violence which is spreading all over India as an epidemic. But, still it is one of the safest state in our country. And, talking about other things which are not relevant to the topic. If you think,in a state where people are sleeping on the street, girls are joining dance bar etc. be called as under developed then do you think is there any state will left where you don't find these activities? Believe not, so don't give some vegue commets to give justice to say that these are not developed.
But,it is true that there is no need a sea border to be developed.
The headline of the article means that RPF beat BJP MP because they were trying to save themselves from this MP. So as a measure to protect themselves they beat the MP. Uncle /Auntie/y editor at Rediff, wake up and brush up.
Why our police is protecting this terrorist lady.....she is being funded by big terrorists to make protests and in turn she is funding the police...not a single beating to her by the police despite she continued a illegal protest for a very long time.

It is good that police took action on law breakers but the way the media is telecasting the whole issue, imagine the common man gets the same treatment with police then why don't u show the same telecast. Since he is a MP he is nothing just our slave(Public) so godd job RAF do u r job and don't listen tho this bloody media they have nothing just to bring all such odd things.
