Concrete Solutions & Implementation necessary
by vikram ghate on Nov 30, 2008 10:23 PM  Permalink

Clearly, the Police force does not have adequate training and equipment to handle certain crisis situations.

Moreover ppl oversee that the Police force(who are humans after all) experience many issues such as a 24 hr job profile, low salaries, political pressure and interference and therefore no motivation.

Long-range snipers with binoculars could have taken down some terrorists visible from windows. Upgraded bullet proof vests and shields could have saved a many wasted lives.Strategy, Training, team work attitude and a good regimen are most necessary for recruited forces.

Governance through democracy is a farce and its high time we realise that. President's rule is most necessary since Democracy makes way for miuse of power, extreme corruption and red tapism.

Dynamic and experienced ppl such as Kiran Bedi and well-qualified ppl should be holding positions of governance.

Concrete Solutions and effective Implementation are required to tackle terrorism not feelings of frustration and mud-slinging.

I would love to see the reaction of a sc^um like the blogger "Yuyutsu" when India smash Pakistan in a bilateral war...........i'am sure he would not show his dirty face in this forum again........and if Pakistan win even a small tank battle, this rat would come to silently endorse the Paki cause and calling Paki soldiers "Tigers" etc....hehehehehe, seriously, sc^ums like Yuyutsu need Modi at the top...you said it!!

And what is the IQ of a person who refers to cowardly terrorits as "tigers"????

Holding women and children as hostages and human shileds itself proves what low life sc^ums they were....and you called them "tigers"....that proves that your IQ is either negative or your affiliations are with a nation whose military capital is Rawalpindi..........sorry buddy.....most bloggers here have their affiliations with a place called Delhi....so out with you!!

under assessed the situation
by Jatin Lakhani on Nov 30, 2008 10:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

No doubt about the bravery of Late Shri Hemant Karakare. But from the footage of the news it seemed Mr Karkare had under assessed the situation (as was seen in his body language). The ATs must've equated them with the normal untrained Mumbai Bhai's or Naxals they had encountered before. But these were trained Terrorists on a mission with AK -47's. If Mr Karkare would have been more careful he would've lived the day with the terrorist's body at his feet.

The three ATS officer dies due to their casual and careless approch to the situation. One of the officer was driving
the car insted of having visil of the terrorists with AK 47, the ATS chief also
did have a gun ready with him to shoot the
terrorists, the sipahis at the back seat
without any AK 47. So, all died except
one. And, because of this man one terrorist was nabbed and another killed.

So, these officers should not be declared
' Sahid ' rather we must see that in future such careless officers with such causal approch should be given such responsible postings, to protect the people.
The T.V people first showed that these officers came the spot in a different car
hence how these officers were kild in a Qualis Station Wagan?

I feel sorry for the death for officers but it is for their fault only, so no regrate

I completely agree with Basanta Misra.
First of all these high ranking officers should not be driving that vehicle. The carelessness and casual attitude caused them their lives.

They are indeed not shaheed they did not die fighting but were rather gunned down like sitting ducks. Just like any other victim in this tragedy.

By no means I want to insult them. I am just telling the facts.

Basanta, You are completely wrong. They went to face the terrorists with what they have had. The ability to even think so is bravery. They could not have had fought with AK-47 as ATS is not supplied with them by our government. It is reserved from either Army or NSG. If your knowledge is limited then do not comment, it comes out as foolishness.

They had no idea by that time what are they going to face. They thought they are going to catcha petty gang man with local weapons. They were illequipped and ill trained for this situation. None of the Police Force except Andhra Grey Hounds actually are trained to face this. They did not get even a chance to pull the trigger and were gunned down by the terrorists. BUT HATS OFF TO THE GUTS OF THE POLICEMAN WHO TACKLED THE HIJACKED SKODA, Killed one of them and Capture other alive.

How did the three officers die?
by Suresh Bhave on Nov 30, 2008 10:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Read the story in Daily Sakal, Pune Edition dated 29 11 08, as told by one of the guards accompaying Mr. Karkare and the other two officers in the Qualis Police van towards Cama hospital to rescue Mr. Date another officer who was lying wounded there. The qualis was fired upon with AK 47 by terrorists hidden behind a tree near Ranga Bhavan. The three officers on the front seat died on the spot. Two of the four body guards in the backseat were dead and the one who told the story had his right arm shot up and the left also furt, so he could not use his gun. The terrorists dragged out the three dead officers and drove the qualis, shooting and lobbibg granades till the van's tyre was burst, possibly by police fire. Then they abandoned the Qualis and got away in a Skoda. While in the Qualis, the mobile phone of the other guard who they supposed was dead tinkled and the guard groned. One of the terrorists immediately shot him. The surviving guard was taken to the hospital by the police who had stopped the Qualis.

I am quoting the news from a respectable news paper and reported to be from one who was travelling in the van. The terrorists took the van and later took over a skoda, which also has been repported elsewhere in other papers. The skoda was later stopped and the occupants shot by the police. Now there is no doubt about who they were. If you are alleging that they were Hindutvavadis, then it seems unlikely.

There is some doubt about the death of Kamte, Karakare and Salaskar. These three sincere officers are the main headache of Hindutvavadis. After their death, Hindutvavadis are in a happier mood because they can now purchase other ATS officers to free the Sadhvi team. Now they can destroy the evidence of malegaon blasts and other wrong activities of purohit, pandey and sadhvi with the help of some purchased officers. I think one of the constable has survived to tell the story but he will not open his mouth if he was purchased by the Hindutvavadis or he is a bajarangi supporter. Now ATS should investigate the link between Abhinav Bharat and LeT

KARKARE did not die fighting with the militants. He died totally unaware of what has hit him not a single bullet was fired by him or three other officers and four constables who were in the same van.
There is some doubt about the death of Kamte, Karakare and Salaskar. May be these officers were targeted by the Hindutvavadis. These three sincere officers are the main headache of Hindutvavadis. Lewt me ask you a question. If Abhinav Bharat and leT are connected and as per late Karkare they wanted to eliminate top RSS leadership. Who is behind this conspiracy.

Both Maharashrta and central Government are ruled by your favorite Congress, how is it possible that they don't expose the truth.

Is this a Christian/jewish conspiracy. But then jews were also killed.

And you become brave by sitting in some cybercafe and writing crap about some officer??

And calling terrorists who killed innocent Indians as "ferocious tigers" you become patriotic??????????

Tiger refers to a man who is intrepid and brave........some cheap cowards who hold women and children as hostages and human shileds are not called Tigers....they are called dirty depraved dogs...and a dog deserves a dog's death....which all of them got.......probably you did not see the bullet riddled body of one of those dogs......one bullet had gone thru his eyes and his face was completely burnt.......he really died a dog's death...

Now check your dirty upbringing........and also check the upbringing of your parents that they gave birth a demented rasacal like you!!

I did not demaen the officer at all.
But you are not ready to see the facts.
Even if these were Wild DOGS then probably the officers were only used to catching RATS.thats all.
I have not yet used a single abusive word against you. why are you getting personal.I am just giving the facts.Just show your KIDS what you have written under the pseudoname of INDIAN if you have guts.Let them learn the language you use. Will you my dear friend.
The fact still remains THE ATS people died the same way all other died at CST.

You are wrong.......you are letting emotions cloud your intellect though you are not using abusive language.....the people who died at CST were innocent victims of indiscriminate firing.....

Karkare, Salaskar and Kamte were victims of planned firing from behind a tree...........cos they wanted to hijack a vehicle...in a face to face firing, the story could have been different...if you had been in Karkare's place, even you would have died a dog's death!!

And show your blog entries to the Mumbai ATS and police......then they will check your credentials......no true Indian will write the stuff that you have written....hence the foul language directed against you.......it is obvious that you see the terrorists as some heroes.....so your religious affiliation becomes obvious, thats all!!
