Politically Irrelevant Force
by chandrashekar nayak on May 26, 2008 06:47 PM

Devegowda and his Sons, Bangarappa and his Sons have become politically irrelevant force today. They have been shown their place. This is the biggest gain for the State politically. Now that about 85% of the JDS candidates who had contested the elction have lost, party will again split for the n th time. in the past, everytime Devegowda opened his eyes from his sleep,he realised that his party has spilt once again. That one bad move from Mr Gowda and his son has ruined the Party and political aspirations of thousands of party workers who have worked for the party for so many years.there is a saying : VINAASHA KALE VIPAREETHA BUDDHI.

Where are the so-called leaders from congress and JDS ? They have gone underground since 11.30 am yesterday after the election trend started coming in.Poor oldies like veerapapa moily, Jayanthi Natarajan are the only two people who were forced to appear in TV Studio's and explain the unexplainables. Even in their defeat, one could see the arrogance and unwillingness to accept the defeat.Later in the day, Mr kapil Sibal become a bit adventurous and appeared in a TV studio and explained why Congress lost. His main argument was that Secular Votes were divided between Congress and JDS whereas in reality, both Congress and JDS lost their vote share by 3% to BJP.Congress will never learn from its experience.Mr Manmohan Singh is presiding over the downfall of Congress.Under his LEADERSHIP(?????), Congress is nose-diving.Good sign for the country.
Devegowda, Kumarswamy,Bangarappa .... where are they hiding now? They are not to be seen since yesterday noon. Kumarswamy thought that JDS will get 35-40 seats and he can continue blackmail politics of his father Great Sleeping Python.

Bangarappa, his 02 sons have suffered humiliating defeat.Bangarappa was a United Opposition candidate against BSY.It is a most humiliating defeat for Congress and JDS as both supported Bangarappa with a one point agenda:somehow defeat BSY.

It is indeed strange the way congress leaders unable to expalin their cause of defeat. So called the history of Karnataka always prooved by punishing the unworthy people.

One thing Congress is still forgetting to address, Mumbai Karnataka once was completely dominated by Mr.Ramakrishna Hegde, still carries in the memory of people. After his sad demise, there was no one from Janata parivaar to manage the show. That was the time Congress could have capitlised the chance, but today when u see the results,Strong and CM aspirants of Congress leaders of North Karnatak were sleeping in the home.
Though Yedurappa himself is big mass leader but the gap of Mr.Hegde is nicely filled by him.

Congrats BJP.,,
You continue to rule as long as inefficent Congress leaders still exist for only argument.

Great Khali
I hoped the Gowdas were gone forever
by Great Khali on May 26, 2008 12:33 PM

I sincerely hoped and wished the public had shown the door to the power-hungry Gowdas. It would have been the best outcome to send the poor farmer and his family back to the grassroots (pun intended) of Mandya where they could have tilled the land along with other farmers. This family sits in the luxury of Bangalore city, enjoy the facilities at public expence, hoard and grab land, and claim to represent the farmers and rural folk. People have seen through their lies and deception and handed them a huge defeat so much so that they cannot show their face in public till the next elections. Great job Karnataka!!! We hope the new government lasts the full term and delivers on its promises for all communities, classes, and sections of society.

Why Sonia / Rahul Charisma Failed
by Gandhi on May 26, 2008 04:23 AM  | Hide replies

They are the star campigners for congress and own it like a pvt ltd company. Despite their big efforts they are not able to connect to the people. It would be better if they don't campagn in states other than UP. Indian people are fond of pretty looking faces and they mob to look at them. But when it comes to voting they vote for some one whom they perseive would be accessable to them tomorrow. Now even good congress party leaders from states are capagning but they get overlooked and overshadowed by presence of Sonia and Rahul and it gives a projection that congress is pvt ltd company. In the presence of these two the local congress leaders look dwarf, and their tail goes tight into their legs when the masters are around. However other regional parties like JDS etc dont face this, their leaders like Devagowda and Kumaraswamy are dont face personality crises. One reason why regional parties go well in comparison in states.

Is it so!
Everyone knows the unethical Gowda and his clan; and what about Dharam Singh - we have seen his governance as CM. Things went from bad to worse. Ambarish, the supposed to be rebel stat.. what was his contribution to the development. A big question mark. And Bangarappa... ha ha ha.., the best thing to happen, this guy and his family were just too much to understand. Never know which party he will hop on to next! This kind of goes to show that elections won on immoral grounds may give victory in the short term but certainly give heartache in the long run. Look at poor Kumaraswamy now!!
