yes good defeat to opportunits people ...
next step keep Gowdas, Jafar Shareef away from bangalore...Gowdas should be kept away from bangalore so that bangalore can progress and rest of Karnatka benefits from it....
Jafar Shareef should be kept away from bangalore so that communal harmony is maintained and anti national elements are dealt with strong hand

you are right. these two are the real big curse of bangalore. there are a few more who got elected like roshan baig etc who also should be banned.
how can people of bangalore forget the january 2007 riots for which jaffer shareef responsible. its time we teach the muslims a hard lesson and show where they belong to.
any way a small step has been taken, let there be another 3 more hindu led governemts come up in southern states.

Congrats BJP,but still a long way to go
by Ajmal on May 25, 2008 03:35 PM  | Hide replies

I being impartial we need to congratulate the BJP for its win, the first in south India,I think even the BJP central committee was surprised by the win.
Why i say there is a long way to go, is because the vote share of BJP and the Congress is just 3 percentage difference, so it has not been a whole mandate for the BJP.
coming to south india, it requires to be seen will the state remain secular or have communal riots, the chances are very high in Karnataka due to selected problematic areas..
About extending the rule of BJP to TN,Kerala,Pondicherry, realistically speaking there is no single BJP leader of stature in these states. Not to forget the DMK and AIADMK started as parties against hindu religion.
lets see how things fold out

what do u mean by 3 % Ajmal bhai ?? ... BJP won 111 seats while congress won only 78 !!

And about TN ... If Rajnikanth stands with a BJP ticket, it will be a clean sweep for BJP. Andhra has been known to follow Karnataka in its startergies , also born-again christian CM of AP mr. Reddy's anti-hindu actions at the Tirupathi has been strongly criticised ... So BJP ruling Andhra might be very soon too :-)

Kumta: Dinakar Keshav Shetty (JDS) beats Mohan Krishna Shetty (Cong) by 20 votes. Shameful. If just twenty people not voted for JDS, they will be one seat short. Can't stand Gowdas who have done grave injustice to kannadigas and Bangaloreans.

While I am liking what I am seeing (a BJP win K'taka). I don't think BJP can ever have an impact in TN or Andhra and of course Kerala no question.
In AP Chiranjeevi is all set to float his own third alternative to Cong-I and TDP and could be a force and don't forget TRS. In TN it has always been Dravidian. I foresee Jaya coming back with a bang and may be few seats may go to Vijayakanth and Co and DMK. I don't think Karuna will live long till next elections.

Enlightened! I have resepect for lot of Tamilians (from great Mathematician Ramanujan to former President Abdul Kalam), but I am surprised by the statement, just because people are supporting anti-nationals like KarunaNidhi. I am surprised in a nation like India this person who has more than one wives is leading a state. Why are Tamilians proud of such people, because they support terrorrists from LTTE? Tamilnadu is becoming a base for SIMI? or is it the blind worship of Film personalities ? What are you proud of? As I said lot of Tamilians are brainess, but I think all of them would be ashamed of the politics in TamilNadu.

yeah-yeah ... tamilnadu people are very brainy indeed. Nice to hear the term "Never go Communal" from a muslim ! ... Dont forget that serial bombings that took place in Coimbatore can never be forgotten.

But what can the people of TN do ... they are really helpless ... I really pity them , I have full sympathy for them ... sob , sob, sob ... As they just dont have any good choice. Either the corrupt Jayalalitha or super corrupt,pro-bankcrupcym, anti-national,anti-hindu , anti-environmental , mutli-wived Karunaidhi !!

TN has lot of potential , but jus not any good leaders.

People are Karnatka have atlasted matured, dumped Mr. Gowda , Congress too lost ground. At last Kannadigas have got enlightened !

Sorry mate. Kanndigas have not got enlightened. They have commited a grave mistake. Wait and watch.

If you are familiar with karnataka then you will realize that places like Suratkal, Mangalore, Mysore and some areas of Bangalore like Shivajinagar, Halsuru etc are dormant volcanoes. What they need to ignite and set the fireworks of communal violence into action is just a small flame from the communal incited
BJP and cronies (read BD/VHP/RSS).
We had communal tension simmering time and again during the last two-three years also but it was adeptly handled by the Congress/JDS goverments. Now I don't kow what would happen.......

Kannadigas welcome to the world of Communalism......Karnataka will go down into the history books as "the gateway to Communalism in the South". Wait and Watch. The show has begun.

I come from Mangalore. I am surprised to see people writing Mangalore as not a good place to live. I agree some communal tensions would be there. Let us what happens. I am sure, Karnataka will thrive under BJP as did Gujarath. My dear freid remember though Gujarath govt (Modi Govt) started with riots, then they have not looked back. Now Modi is all set to make Gujarath a model state. If some people are so blind to keep remiding of old tragedies and not move forward it is their way to look at thigs (The same so called intellectuals never see infilatraion for BanglaDeshis By CPI or NandiGram violanece or Shingoor violence as a problem.)

WHAT IS COMMUNALISM. IS YOU WILL BE CALLED AS HINDU THEN YOU ARE TREATED AS COMMUNAL. IN INDIA THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY ENJOYING SUCH A FREEDOM THAT EVEN HINDUS ARE NOT ABLE TO ENJOY FREEDOM. EACH AND EVERY POLITICIAN STANDS BEHIND MUSLIMS TO SEEK THEIR VOTE. SO EACH AND EVERY GOONDAISM IS DONE BY MUSLIMS ONLY.IN WEST BENGAL EACH AND EVERY WRONG DOING (SMUGLING) IS DONE BY MUSLIMS ONLY. BUT THEY NEVER BOOKED BY POLICE DUE TO POLITICAL PRESSURE.BUT IF YOU SAY THAT YOU ARE YADAV, BRAHMIN, RAJPUT AND SO ON YOU WILL NOT BE CALLED AS COMMUNAL.
SO MY DEAR FELLOW COUNTRYMEN TREAT HUMAN AS HUMAN ONLY. NOT BY HINDU OR ANY OTHER CAST. VOTE ONLY LEARNED PERSONS
