All this is happening due to the so called brilliant ;educated upper. and middle class.........They feel very insult and below dignity to stand in Q at poling booths. That's why u get GDs like.It is just not sufficient to sit in front of a computer and feel great.

You have a point...I think the same way. for educated/office goers, it is below their dignity to stand in Queue for viting in municipal schools or offices or shanties...

Its a perception of middle class that voting is only for weak people who depend on govt support for their survival and since they feel dependence on anybody as indignity. Its like showing their weakness by voting which they always try to hide.Until this perception changes we can'nt hope for sane governance.

Bp,
sorry your BP is going up after seeing the forecast of BJP victory! So if somebody works for uniting Hindus who has all along been exploited because of division, you call them communal! When christians join together under Italian pope it is aceptable! When muslims vote enmass as per the diktats of Bhukari,it is secular! When a country like malaysia having less than 50% muslim poplation declares itself muslim country you rotten ghooses will accept, but when BJP tries to unite Hindus you raise alarm!People like you must be send to Italy or Saudi Arabia to taste what their religion means!May be you may find pleasure to serve Italiam mafia or arab camel riders!

Insanity has taken over foreign bootlickers like you who revel in Congress sh!t. Thanks to voters like u, we have a muslim feeding and jehad encourageing Govt with 22 terror attacks in all of Ibndia in 4 years. his Govt creted Kashmir issue, ruled 50 years and kept muslims back and yet continue talking of muslims and dividing hindus with more caste based reservations, institutionalizing corruption, abusing our religion in Supreme Court, giving life to terrorists like Afzal and yet idiots like sing praises of these communal bastiches. Shameful.

Prem you are blind!
BJP has the following leaders of brain-not of dynasty!
1.Advaniji
2.Susma Swaraj-she learned to address the meeting in Kannadiga in one week-very sharp and intelligent lady not as cunning as your italian madam!
3.Arun Jaitely-the supreme court lawyer with charismatic look and Bihari Brain!
4.Ravi Shankar Prasad-the wise and intelligent spokesperson of BJP
5.Jaswant Singh who is a man of iron nerve!
6.Our top Leader NARENDRA MODI WHO CAN CHECK MATE ALL THE MUSLIM/CHRISTIAN BOOTLICKERS!
7.Venkaiah Naidu- though not that charismatic a very wise and intelligent administrator! The list goes on!
But look at poor congress-they may even accept the pet dog of nehru famiy as their leader rather than allowing some one else from leading the congress-what a shame!

True spirit of democracy
by pradeep ray on May 23, 2008 01:20 PM

Fractured mandate is not in the true spirit of democracy. It ensures horse trading, leg pulling, blackmailing, corruption, too much bargaioning, etc. which jeopardise the growth and prosperity.

Hung assembly is not a blessing but a curse and the K'taka people have been experienced that.

Another hung assembly will definitely deteriorate the progress of great K'taka.

When has NDTV/ CNN IBN ever given credit to BJP even when they do well?

These numbers are suspiciously similar to Gujarat elections and BJP won with a thumping majority.

The results will not be any different in Karnataka.

Let Rediff not pontificate before the real results are out.

This is the problem with us. We always fall in the caste trap and vote even if he a big ass (which most of them are). How many of us will go and vote someone from another community even if he is good. We should merit first and then anything else after that. Till then, we have to live with incapable parasites
