A new rescue technique
by vinod kumar on Mar 27, 2008 12:27 PM  | Hide replies

I think govt should take initiative to take neccessary action and should design a new rescue technique for these kind of accidents. It might be possible to save victim within 2 hrs or less than that.

shame on administration
by deepak pandit on Mar 27, 2008 12:24 PM

I saw part of the rescue attempt for Vandana & what hit me most was, the attempt by some people in civilian clothing & tie etc hijack the whole thing from army men to get attention of media once the child was rescued.were those in civilian clothing part of army group? I did not notice any mark on their clothing. when media was interviewing people involved, they did not bother to show to the country the real heroes who toiled selflessly and saved the child but only babus, probably hungry for free publicity. shame on the media. to put it bluntly the word in hindi is " DHIKKAR HAI AISE MEDIA KO". pls tell all the T.V. news channels to apologise to the armymen involved in this rescue. also demand an enquiry against MLA ,D.M. & others of their ilk to find out who was careless to leave this borewell uncovered & fine them so tht the money can be put to use for Vandana, who suffered due no fault of her,for her future use & let this be a lesson to all babus who are very sure that they can get away with anything.

law should be enected to take heavy punitive action on persons responsible - whether contractors and or officers involved - keeping the wide borewells unuttended and uncovered , causing poor children at deadly risk

Govt Responsibility
by abhi on Mar 27, 2008 10:34 AM

I dont know how come these people dont care about these open bore wells which are unused for so many months. Government should take care of these things. If a bore is not being used, they must close it but not like leaving it opened. So, the officials should take care this matter seriously because every time this becoming an issue. why the children to suffer due to the mistake of the lazy bugs.

The person responsible of digging this hole must be held....first and the law must punish him to teach a lesson to such people creating such dangerous consequences. Its not tough to get the culprit.

by rakesh on Mar 27, 2008 09:40 AM  | Hide replies

Educated youth from UP and Bihar are busy blaming the traffic problem in Bangalore and the airport issues in Bangalore and hyderabad. They run away leaving hapless poor in the hands of politcians and greedy contactors.
