Now a days every one is demanding a seperate state for themselves,whether it is Telengana,Vidarbha,or gorakhaland,and a Political party PMK is demanding a sate based on caste lines...............instead the Govt should unite all the states and divide them in different divisions and no consideration shld be made in name of Language,caste or religion....
I cannot understand why we choose to break up state to create more. One may be better utilization of resources and funds as larger states are a challange to manage. But why Gorhksland. If all states and the people who live in them start asking for divisions under lingual then where does this stop, they might just end up as countries in several decades. And if the govt feels at it would be in the best interest of the country then so be it. But lets not politicize the whole thing.
I dont understand why govt of India should not create new states in accordance with the popular demand of the local people. If people of Darjeeling want a Gorkhaland as their state why not give them one. They are not asking for a seperate country they only want a political symbol of their ethnic identity. Believe me people of Darjeeling should decide if they want to be part of west bengal not those sitting in Kolkotta. If we keep supressing aspirations of people on such non-threatening issues then we risk creating another anti-national organization. India as a country must respect every ethnicity that it encompasses and that is when the sum of the pride of these ethnic population will refect upon our nation.

How long REds can be allowed to suppress hindus in Bengal? United hindus in Bengal still have chance to save Bengal becoming a part of Greater Bangladesh. If such movement starts in Bengal, Gorkha hindus will definitely support it, and the demand for G'land will subside.

Munshi is yet another Commie oriented Bengali who is hell bent on colonising and destroying Darjeeling... Time will answer him. Gorkhaland has to happen and Darjeeling should not go the way of Tripura.

Couldn't have said better myself MGR Fan!I mean who are these West Bengal ministers to tyranically decide the fate of the people of Darjeeling ? There have been no consultations,just a unilateral decision by these West Bengal ministers behaving like tyrants .I mean Isn't India a democracy?Thanks MGR Fan and yes I fully agree with you that Gorkhaland has to happen.
