YSR turns impotent after arresting AJ editor. Shame On YSR.
by tarun kumar on Jun 25, 2008 09:39 PM

I am sort of concerned obviously about the "process" through which
this particular phase has begun and culminated.

I am listening to Potturi Venkateshwar Rao -- and he says, it is a
non-bailable warrant -- and the manner the editor has been targeted
along with the entire newspaper establishment, obviously bothers
everyone.

It appears most members of RB have entered into the 'silent 40
something' -- roars of the turks of the past are not heard here --
sign of resignation into 'whatever!'?

I am clearly disturbed by the arrest of K Srinivas.

1. the manner in which the case is registered (unlike all the other
cases that were not acted on so far!) or even the act under which it
is done.

2. the actions of the establishment in moving with the swiftness;

3. the timing of it -- at 10:30 PM raid on a newspaper office!? Is
this a newspaper or some banned publication??

Is there a way to protest? Today it is the Newspaper, tomorrow it
will be TV9 or TV5 or anyother.

Shame on YSR. Shame on Congress.
by tarun kumar on Jun 25, 2008 09:19 PM

Its very shame on CM doing like this.DISGUSTING.
Now he is an impotent. He will pay for this.
Instead of catching terrorists and gundaas he is catching journalists and editors who are doing good for society. Police are behaving like dogs.whatever rajsekhar say they are doing.
I really feel sad for those editors.
what a pathetic govt.

Anybody remember Gujarat? And the print media's angry & virulent protests against the government for slapping sedition charges on the Times of India?
But nothing on either the Times of Indian Express (bastions of leftist diatribes) against Andhra Jyoti. Naturally , you cannot campaign against "secular" and "pro-Dalit" governments, can you? Even if they mis-use one of the most misconceived laws to muzzle freedom of press.Lesson for journalists - ALL governments are the same but the media will never accept this else how can they stir controversies and sell newspapers?

The dead tigers sometime attack those who have given them life when they were lying dead.

Journos ......all the best !!!
Politicians ....enjoy the dramas.

Public learn newer tactics of black mail!

British were no fools using firm hand to curb lawless ness.

They were outsiders......not as weak as insiders of the same nationality.

Some one from out side onlycan instill discipline and rule.

India is democracy....and NOT 'meritocracy' like Singapore or Taiwan.
by usa on Jun 25, 2008 05:11 PM  | Hide replies

Hence it is imperative to appreciate 'cultural' aka 'caste' and socio-economic diversity in all temples in India.

Government must implement 'reservations' in all Indian temples as per the 'caste' census in India.

1. 52% of Judges and Temple Priests must be from OBC.
2. 29% Judges and Temple Priests must be Dalits and Tribals.
3. Remaining Judges and Temple Priests must be from other castes & religions.

let the country be divided

let the upper castes separate out into a separate country (Hindu theocratic state, we had enough of SECULARISM)

let the lower castes, Muslims and Christians stay in a separate country (or countries)

Let me help you.

Contact your local MP and ask him to present a Private Bill in Parliament seeking separate nation for your caste people.

Good luck!

RE:Casteism has been a covert mask for socio-economic collusion in India since 12th century.
by archana on Jun 25, 2008 05:00 PM

why inter-caste alone?

why not include inter-religious and inter-national marriages too?

you must start by marrying somebody from a different religion and a different country

since what u said is never going to happen, why don't you throw the OPPRESSORS out? create a separate country for the OPPRESSIVE upper caste guys and then you VICTIMS OF OPPRESSION can live happily along with Muslims and Christians in the remaning country.

UNIFORM CIVIL CODE or divide the country
by archana on Jun 25, 2008 04:51 PM  | Hide replies

We demand UNIFORM CIVIL CODE where all Indians are treated alike irrespective of religion and caste. Scrap all reservations and scrap all special privileges for lower castes and minorities.

Alternatively, divide the country and carve out a separate region for the so-called upper castes. We want a separate country where the same law applies to everyone.

Media Rating Service
by usa on Jun 25, 2008 04:44 PM  | Hide replies

Electronic and Print Media in Andhra Pradesh devoid of "objective point of view".

Government must setup a Media Rating Service similar to CRISIL in financial industry.

The Media Rating Service should rate media in order to
1. Stop propagating "sarcasm and hypocrisy" in the society.
2. Promote "objective and positive point of views".

in that case, MRPS needs to be banned, because it is sarcastic, hypocritical, it has no objectivity and it has negative points of view

the SC/ST leaders must be strongly condemned as per your recommendations
