When one should stick to the scripture at the cost of one's life

Some days back "cleansing ceremony" was done in the Guruvayoor temple when "people who don't declare their faith in the Lord" entered the temple.... and there was a big hullabaloo over whether this is right or wrong. Always, the priests should go with the "scriptural injunction", that is what the scriptures say. Popular vote should not decide what temples, churches and other places of worship should do. There is grave peril for contemporary religions by succumbing to populist "money driven" decisions. People should show some respect for the Godhead and not always carp on Equality! It is best to consult and FOLLOW THE SCRIPTURE BY ROTE, rather than follow Tom, Dick or Harry's opinion of how God should be worshipped. Everyone has a right to do whatever they want inside their homes. When it comes to God, we should follow the scripture, that is the right thing to do. So I am happy there are some priests who stick to their conservative opinions and don't budge for just for the sake of popularity.
