All this hue and cry about working togther has to be percieved with caution by understanding that we are dealing with a bunch of guys who had previoulsy taken us for a ride. We should also consider that we have a strong discord with them on the basis of teritorial disputes. Moreover, Chinese would never ever relinquish thier association with Pakistan. All these circus of UPA government is to pacify the useless commies in our country who conider their motherlands enimies as thier commerades. This is deplorable. The chief minister in Kerala went to that extend to comment on the Tibetan uprising as: "No one is going to hamper OUR cause of rallying the olympic tourch". In a land where you cant talk against minorities, in one and only country where a subset of people are given reservation on the basis of religion and caste, in the only country in which there are differnt laws for different religions, in the only country which has lost one-thirds of her land on the basis of religion in the post industrialization era, we have to be prepared for more UPA circuses than this! Long live commic-rades!

You should not see Indian developments in isolation. There are changes taking place all over the world. It is partly true that our democratic set up, which gives full freedom to all sections, is taken advantage by a section. We have to live and learn. What is the other alternative?
It will be in the interests of both to work together. Both will mutually benefit. But at the same time we should be careful while dealing with them. They will definitely try to dominate us, which we should never allow. We should not give away any of our territories for any agreement.
With changing times,we better change our thinking and this idea of both ASEAN MAJORS working together is GOOD.It will not only empower both of these as well as it will bring in a balance between East and West.
