Laughing stock
by your amre on Feb 18, 2008 05:39 AM

Our Lady president has shown that she is a laughing stock. It shows she is ignorant and has no ideas. Its a low level talk without any concrete reason. Let her learn Judo and Karate with Soniaji and try their stuns on MMS. That would be THE GREAT INDIAN TAMASHA

Foolish Suggestion
by siva krishna on Feb 17, 2008 01:03 AM | Hide replies

one should remember that the NCC GIRLS WING is working very scantly. if you observe critically, Male police dominate female police inspite of grand opeing of women police stations etc.

when you introduce karate and judo, i am sure that girls will not take up these things. if they were actually taking up such things naturally - they would have taken up athelitics and sports easily. but our country's sports women donot attract any sponsors. this shows that all these schemes will be just a flop.

if you again see this issue critically, any girl who goes for sports or athelitics or judo and karate will lose her bodily beauty due to meltdown of the fat. there by they will face difficult situation to get married as a girl will get married based on her beauty as prime parameter. and this is what the mothers advice to their daughters (even force)even if they show interest in NCC judo karate etc. you just see, in any public school, if the PT master conducts a Mass PT, many of the girls either faint, or just sit under tree with petty excuses and those girls who attend it will take leave the next day.

from now onwards, it will not be a surprise if you find matrimonial ads stating "wanted girls with out judo and karate for a boy aged 27" etc

all foolish advises.

President's statement
by Ramdas Iyer on Feb 17, 2008 02:20 PM  | Hide replies

What an inappropriate thing to say when you are attending a marriage ceremony(at least that s what I think Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah means). Elders are supposed to bless the couples to have a long harmonious married life. Instead, instigating and the brides to learn martial arts seems unnecessarily provocative. These marriages may end in shambles and discredit NDA CM Nitish Kumar (Nitish jyo shaadiyaan karwaya un sab me auratein "HOO Ha karte apne mardon ko peetkar maike bhag gayee)

Some President
by Jaganniwas Iyer on Feb 17, 2008 02:19 PM

One realy misses dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who brought some real meaning to an otherwise useless post - I'm not forgetting intellectual gaints like Dr Rajendra Prasad and Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. And now we have a President who is busy plumbing the depths of inanities. I bet no girl in India has ever learnt judo or karate. How could they? We didn't have this 'brilliant' President to come up with this 'brilliant' idea of women's empowerment. What else can you expect from a President, who not too long ago, was shooting of her loose toungue for the stupidest of things? and this is the President of a billion plus strong nation, one that aspires to be a leading player f the knowledge society of tomorrow. We can see the shining glimpse of that in Her Majesty's Presidential address. High time this post is abolished.

Countering eve-teasing
by Rackat Kanakam on Feb 17, 2008 01:17 PM

President must be deeply disturbed by the eve-teasing that happened in Mumbai on New Years day. She cannot speak in open about that because it happened in Maharashtra (that too after seeing the way Raj Thackeray came in support of the accused). And she is trying to vent her feeling in Bihar.

Goes to prove that we are ruled by stupid people
by harish shankar on Feb 17, 2008 11:35 AM

Looks like people of india adore drum heads. Except for APJ.. we just keep all the wonderful nut heads as presidents.Fortunately this lady can walk on her legs though.. ouch I said it. Instead of tackling social meance towards women in general.. wonder how could judo & karate going to solve the issue.
