Go to Miss Marathi contest, not India !! and i am sure that will be gr8 as there will be no Kareena as well. And I am sure that should be held out side Mumbai..as it's too cosmo..probably nagpur is better or aurangabad !!
1. What Beauty pageants have done good to the society for their social recognition? 2. What Beauty pageants did for poor, hungry, orphan children%u2019s and old age peoples? 3. What is contribution of Beauty Pageant in the national stream in social, economical, political and cultural, intellectual and sports fields? 4. What role Beauty Pageants like Miss World, Miss Universe have played in the dynamics of Indian values systems, projecting India as great nation like Nobel laureates from India did as true ambassador of India? Whether this item of Beauty Pageant makes any difference to the Indians life or this is farce of modern day wealthy social panorama to create sensation for nothing and become showcase of intellectual bankruptcy and corrupt minds playing nicely on the media channels cheating billions of innocent people across India to recognize them as ambassador of India for nothing and they deliver nothing to the society for what recognition they received from artificial camouflaged publicity.
I want to ask them: 1. Who are these people organize this event and what are their qualifications? 2. What authority they got to organize show in India in the name of Beauty Pageant? 3. Who certified them as legally accredited organization to conduct such events? 4. Is there any law or agency to measure their caliber to testify them? 5. What are norms and standards they have set for participants and why there Is not girls from lower

6. Why they restrict only certain class as representative to participate into this event? 7. How many of winners hail from lower or poor class? 8. What level playing field they offer without any discrimination to caste, Skin color, region, religion etc? 9. Why only advertisement media and glamour field personalities take part why not football player, Kabbadi players, Athletes, professional managers from the medium and small scale companies participate in scrutiny and selection process ? 10. Why this organization is being dominated by one group and class of people to represent as organizers?
Answer to all above is negative, this shows the Beauty Pageant formula is %u201CBogus%u201D.

But why worry too much? Let them have their fun. It is not costing us anything or does it? If we are not interested just ignore these news items. If anyone loves it, then let them watch it. Some one asked what are the benefits to the society. Not much but they do their part in organizing charity shows etc. My view is hat if it doesnot affect us leave it alone..:)
