Where was ''Culture Minister'' Ambika Soni hiding?

Where was "Culture Minister" Ambika Soni hiding?

After abusing Rama, she did not have guts to venture into USA where most Indians would have expressed outrage.

The Big BUT

I am happy that the culture is being shown here, but the worry is I read an article in Sify which read "Two Japanese tourists gang-raped in Agra". If things like these happen and the people resort to such actions the impression is going to change for bad place to worst place. Its in the hands of people whom we call our brothers.

Picture of a confident Nation cannot be combined with couple of bad incidence-that happens in every country. Let the local govt take charge of that-but it lacks most is finance-these police officers are so under-paid that its easy to do a crime and let free.
By inviting more and more investment, more jobs will be created and hence more tax payers and more funds for the govt-which is also remarkably improving efficiencies in many sectors. I think its a good campaign for the right direction.
I see these ads every morning in NYC and wanted to know the story behind. This article helped us get the story behind. Good!

Rapes happen in China, in Philippines, in Italy, in Mexico and even in USA. In Pakistan it happens legally because women are literally objects for men to toy around. There is a Pakistani women in our neighborhood who is taking help of a know Indian lawyer to save her life & marriage from her husband, who is trying to re-marry for a son (after she got her 4 beautiful daughters) and maybe abandon her. So I don't agree with the above comments.

We all want good for India and anything that will help poverty, fund civic bodies, improve law and order are welcome.

Halali, don't try to be oversmart. You are a creep. Don't try to malign any particular religion with your screwed up remarks. You are plain sick. Be sensible.

I have seen the hoardings in Manhattan and they really carry the substance to promote India .. my country .. Hind ... in a foreign land where India is imagined to be full of snakes and Snake charmers ... I now see and take pride in flashing my country's rich culture and heritage which is still unknown in the West ...

Fully agreed, I live in Canada, but finally a sleeping giant has woken up, and am thankful to all the people and organizations involved in promoting a better image of India. We want people to know that we have a lot more than Snakes and poverty in India. I sincerely hope that our governments will take steps to improve the life of those who are living below the poverty line. Well done India.....JAI HIND!!!

Masala Dosa and Medhu Vada!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Sep 23, 2007 09:14 PM  | Hide replies

These southern delicacies are now available in Manhattan and all over the U.S. Just like Chicken Tika Masala has replaced Fish and Chips in England, I would not be surprised if the Americans develop the taste for Masala Dosa, it is all in the spices replacing the oregano in Italian pizzas. I would be interested to know whether Burger King and MacDonalds double whoppers is replacing pau bhaji, pani puris, bhels and chats in India. Is pasta eaten at 10 Janpath more than Alu Roti the aam aadmi food?

I absolutely agree with you. Pakis are always jealous. Pervez was recently quoted as saying that the pakis also need a nuke deal on the basis of parity.
