Its very disappointing that people who should be leading the country and set the good example for the other citizens have been consistently indulging into dishonesty. In India if u have more money ,if u r more powerful then u r the best - no matter where the money is coming from and no matter if u r disusing ur power.do u think his arrest ll stop the corruption in India?Well i know some people well connected and well established government servants , recepients of national Padam Vibhushan awards openly indulging into corrupt activities.( HEY I CAN NAME THEM IF U WANT) Well THIS IS THE VERY REASON I COULD NOT SURVIVE IN INDIA AND SHIFTED TO NEWZEALAND. GOD BLESS INDIA!

Hi Rahul the situation in India is poised much wrongly right now. But what people like you and me can do is make small contribution in improving the things. Please name out the currupt guys, whatever prize recipiant they are.
At the moment in India the arrests are not to improve the system but to target political opposition people. Yes as the working culture there is currupt, any one who is caught is more or less at fault.
I will tell you very interesting story of how the curruption almost incepted in India.
The Punjab PM in 1950's Kairo asked Nehru to take a not to emergence to curruption in India after indendence. There were bribes being paid and taken for govt jobs. Nehru replied -- "Singh Saab dont worry to much over this, Desh ka paisa hai aur Dash mein hi rahega".

What about the arresters?
by manjinder multani on Sep 09, 2007 08:15 PM  | Hide replies

Beware Mr. Gill, next will be you!
Its common knowledge that police doesn't act where it has to.
But political vendetta has to continue like that, thus affecting the general public, who keep on following these 2 parties and like to be associated with them for getting promotions or transfers. A third party is a must for the revolution. Mere shopping malls and so called fake development is not enough. There are no jobs available and if there will be, the selected people will never have any guarantee that they will be kept. But we are happy with all this as long as it is not directly related with us. Because we are the spectators and want to live an easy life.

We common people do not know what exactly is happening.Who is less corrupt who is more. But it is beyond doubt that all the politicians and political parties are corrupt.
Arrest of DGP is a welcome step whatsoever.Bcoz common people are exploited by both politicians and beurocrats. This is an eye opener for officers who rather than respecting their duty, chair and status play like puppets in the hands of THIRD RATE HUMAN BEINGS(politicians).
As of Punjab Police as a whole, they are comparable to Afghan Talibans only right from constable to DGP.
