I don't think that you are understanding the Tibetan situation. Just because you are against US policies in general does not mean that things are not perceived objectively.

india has already done plenty for dalai lama, which is well recognized world wide. it seems it is time for india to make hay in burma by awarding the rebel leader su. or better yet, award some saudi guy who might be rotting in jail for demanding democracy.
The Chinese economy is based on cheap exports to US. China shouldn't be ungrateful to bite the hand that feeds it. If US stops the Chinese imports and insteads import goods from Latin America, Africa, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Taiwan the Chinese economy will collaspe and they will be starving to death. The Chinese should know there limits and always be grateful to The Dalai Lama for his kindness and the USA for it's generousity. They should stop barking like dogs.

I don't think if US were to reduce (or even stop) the Chinese imports, it will be China who suffers more, rather it will be US. Much of the big corporations in US are heavily dependent on China's manufacturing. China in fact is one of few countries (if not the only one) which exports more to the US than it imports from US. This trade surplus is the reason US is always hesitant to take a hard stance against China. That said, I agree that China should stop treating the Dalai Lama as a separatist.

It's very easy for the US corporations to move their manifacturing to any other country in the world or even to the US mid-west and South (where cost of manifacturing is lesss). US customers can easily affort to pay even twice the price they pay for the Chinese goods since the costs are rock bottom anyway. Who cares if you pay $4 or $8, it doesn't matter. China though will go backrupt if they are denied access to the US market. Dalai Lama is a great human being and only evil people and countries can hate a peacemaker.

If a US corporation wants to move manifacturing out of China, hundreds of countries will rush in with request to move the factories to their country instead of China, they will even offer free land, discounted infrastructure and tax sops. Thousands of unemployed and poor people across the world can do the jobs done by Chinese at an even lower price. Hundreds of countries are dying to attract foreign investement and factories to their own cities and town. Chinese are living in a dream land. China can never ever equal US. Great social upheavel awaits the supressors of human rights and freedom.
usually the US is criticized for doing something only if there is a benefit to their cause - which i think all countries do.. in this case there was nothing to be benefited since the free Tibet is not going to 'help' the US in anyway it is a good gesture that they acknowledged a great spiritual and political leader! thanks...

I am agree with that. With almost same reason China attacked India earlier. Can she dare now the same in case of US? From Indian side it waas the great mistake done by fool who admitted from india side that Tibbat is Chinease territory.

and i think everybody know the name of that fool -----pt. Jawahar Lal...greatest fool among all indian prim ministers
China's entire economy boom is because of america. All the usa multinational have open shops in china and they manufacture cheap products for usa. China know this very well. So they should quity get out of Tibet now and not dare to challange super power. America is not india, they can threaten and take away thousands of miles of land. America can fry their ass.
