It's imperative that the federal govt seek the competiton route for the comprehensive development plan, including the designs of the High-rises which compliments Lutyens vision, not just from short-listed domestic architects but also renowned international ones.
It is good move. In fact only the President, Vice President and the Prime Minister should be given bungalows. all other so called VIP's whether they are ministers, mp's or judges or political parties, all should be given only flats. Ministers may be given flats in Lutyens delhi but all others can be shifted to other localities. If embassies can be located in Dwarka, why no other vip's. This way govt can get hold of 90 to 95% of central Delhi which can be auctioned and billions of rs can be raised. this sum alone shall be sufficient for complete planned development of delhi. After all these politicians say that they are there for the service of the nation. So need to give them accomodation in prime location

This would happen only if you had a genuine "people government", not frauds and cheats that we have today. Sonia and her family is occupying 3 bungalows, do you think she pays a single paise for any of them ? Which category does she belong to ?

Why should Government give them houses? We have seen what they do inside the Parliament House.
