Hahahahaha, now the Goras know why, all over India , kids would steal money at home to eat a dosa!!
I grew up in Haridwar, where Kutty uncle,a poor guy from Tamil Nadu, has a Dosa thela.
Inspite of warnings from Ma and dad,me and my brother would pass by him and say hello to Kutty 'Uncle'.
To this day remember his pride in serving his dosa in large white china plates, with steel 'karories' holding that magical sambar, and the wonderful coconut chutney.
Little did we realise, how poor he must have been to have left his native village, and sell Dosas on the street. To us he will remain Kutty uncle for ever. I think I have started to cry a little as I write............damn these stupid kid memories.

I just spoke to Mr Kumar at 1-9177102092. He was very humble and invited me to visit him when in NY, which I graciously accepted.

I have never seen such a trite , superficial and ignorant person like you who can only write of stupid immoral websites when serious issues are at hand. YOur indifference and inability to understand what news is about is what makes India slide backwards into an age of ignorance and regression. Go and bore someother website with your nonsensical interests. GET OFF REDIFF!

What has your news got to do with a daring story of entrepreneurship in NYork? Who cares about crores being spent on malls which are ridiculous anyway? The story of Thiru Kumar shows how with little money you can go a long way. Having money doesn't mean you have brains.
Rediff should have mentioned where the cart is located in NY so that at least people in NY reading this article would visit his cart and taste dosa along with congratulating him on his success.
Rather than that: Give us Kumar's Cell=phone # so that he can tell us where he is camped on a particular day.
Infact Kumar can post it here on rediff.
Since he keeps moving his cart. It is at a different location in NY every day.

I think I have written enough times that Rediff's articles never contain sufficient information, the who, why, where, how, what ans whens are never addressed completely. This is Indian journalism. If we the readers insist maybe we can improve the reporting. Keep it up!
