That,s a universal fact, friend. In fact, it has always been the common man who has suffered. In this case, those involved in the riots not only got away scott free but were eve nrewarded. Example: Madhukar Sarpotdar was caught red handed by the military in a curfew bound area with weapons and instigating hatred and he went on to become the Lok Sabha speaker. Compared to that, Sanjay Dutt who misguidedly acquired weapons but threatened no one has more than suffered enough.

Sanjay should get back in action.
by indian soldier on Nov 27, 2007 11:00 PM  | Hide replies

Sanjay has got opportunity and now he should get back in action. Make some more reality based movie like vaastav, gandhigiri. That way people, court will notice that he is a descent man and keeping illegal rifle at home was a mistake. We all make mistake but what do we learn from this and later how do we serve our society even better. Thats what counts.

Well Managed Justice
by Krish Koundy on Nov 27, 2007 09:11 PM  | Hide replies

do have a soft corner for SD. I love his films and his style of acting. I hoped that he would be proved innocent. However, no body is above law. If he was proved guilty, he must face the sentence. Please recall, the urgent meeting of his sister Priya Dutt with Sonia Gandhi, after Sanjay Gandhi was convicted by the special court. Soon after that things started falling in place Sanjay-this bail order included. It is very clear in the last few years that Sonia and ilk have started influncing the judiciary. After pronouncement of the judgement ti took one month to deliver the copy of judgement to Sanjay-well managed elay that was!But the judgement of bail will reach him within two days! Whole idea is to keep him ou of jain as many days as possible.

Sanjays case is symbolic, but imagine the impact of Sonias judical exploitaiton on the social security of the country.

Biggest Killers
by Manny on Nov 27, 2007 08:05 PM  | Hide replies

There are biggest killers out there in India like,Sajan Kumar,HKL Bhagat,Jagdish Titler,Lalit Makkan,God knows how many more.Nothing has happened to this criminals and Sanju has done nothing if you compare him with these roughs.Names I've mentioned above are directinvolvement in 1984 GENOCIDE OF THE SIKHS.Mark my words we are gonna come after these thugs and drag them in courts even if it takes another 20 yrs.Jew are still taking NAZI's in to the legal battle.Believe me we Sikhs have enough money and brains to fight this battle.I remember I was 14 yrs old when this happened still waiting for the justice ,In India's so called democratic society.
I've full faith in our community they will come after these punks and teach them a lesson for rest of their lives.Same thing happened again in GUJRAT, how shame and got away with it, again it won't be that long when minorities will stand together and fight these GOONS.

What about sikhs who even today feel proud of killing indira gandhi. They had accumulated bombs, granades in golden temple. And they tortured lakhs of indian during 10 years of punjab problem. How do you wish to punish them, sir.

So called Indian soldier you justify killings of 3000 innocent SIKHS for Indira Gandhi no wonder people like you running the country and calling it democratic India. If the way you think this country should be run then after 911 American should kill tons of Muslims in the United States. Why indira was killed cuz she sent troops in our holly Shrine and tried to wipe out our religion from this face of the earth.Buddy Sikhs are here to stay and take care of people like you.Because of us your religion is still in place ,people like you have forgotten the sacrifice of our 9th GURU just to save your so called Kashmiri Brahmins. You should read the history before you post any damn thing Mr Hindustani. We are Sikhs and pls don't call us Hindus are way of practicing religion is totally different than Hinduism.I'm not done yet for the Independence # of sacrifices done by SIKHS speak the volume about us.You guys have sidelined us for the longest time and one day is going to be pay back time my dear friend, and how do you justify the brutality of GUJRAT riots. You probably have some valid reason for that as well.As long as Hindus are protected in India you can stoop to any level and justify your wrong doings. Our religion is based on the truth and no power can harm us cuz we believe in One GOD concept and see everyone with one eye,we certainly don't worship COW.Even our enemies are allowed in our GURUDAWAR and we offer them free food and shelter you moran. We fear no one but the ALMIGHTY.

i fully agree with you MANNY. sikhs do have very legitimate grievances against the indian society who has used them as needed then discarded them . tokenism is no solace eg manmohan singh as lame duck PM the poor chap needs permission to go to toilet

I am not saynig that riot which claimed sikh life was right. All i am saying is you should look any incident from other's angle too. You said you respect truth. Then how come your comment is full of ego maniac style. Now lets look at the facts. Indira gandhi sent troops to golden temple because it was being musused by thousands of sikhs for storing weapons to cause mass violance. And many sikh were causing mass violance if u remember. U know how much people of india were totured in 10 years of punjaab problem. Now she is dead. Its past. But whats wrong in accepting the fact that she dint deserve to be killed brutally. Why do sikh start justifying her killing. It was wrong too. just like riot. And no body creats riot, its mass dynamics that spreads like wild fire. Look at Gujraat, if train was burnt 50 people alive in name of communal franzy, what do u expect.
All i m saying is any violance u have to look at the whole situation before getting carried away.

Also dont think that the GURU was fighting for Hinduism. He was fighting for religion and to prove that a real guru is not afraid or cannot be tempted to do something. Thats why the guru is called "Sacha badshah". Dont try to create hindu or sikh out of Guru.

Also i want to answer Mr. Manny. He said sikh guru has done a lot of favour to hunduism. Absolutely right. But Hiduism has done a big favour to sikh too. It has given you birth. How can u forget that. Guru nanak spent his entire life teaching the very core of hinduism. Ek Omkaar is not a new concept, it was said by at least 100 guru in hinduism who came before Guru nanak. So the point is both hindu, sikhha (come from sanskrit word sishya) are same at the core. even if u want to, u cant seperate them. And statue worship and other tradition hindu does is peripheri not the centre of hindusim. These are just to celberate life and make us feel devotion, bhakti in our heart. We have to understand the core, basics. Otherwise if we want to do politics than of course we can have 100 reasons to blame each other and fight.
But the problem is indian society is so sick we mix politics with relegion and then keep fighting. keep blaming other for violance we dont take responsibility of our side.

I highly appreciate the fact that u've brought up about these insanes.... But having said that two wrongs do not make one right... These cannibals should be punished undoubtedly but what is happening to Sanjay Dutt is also what he has asked for cos he was not that innocent that he did not know what guns are!!!!!!!!!

Sanjay is the victim
by Indian Patriot on Nov 27, 2007 07:49 PM  | Hide replies

Sanjay is the victim of politicians who are against him and his family.
Some of these polticians are involved in mass corruptions, riots and killings, but have never been behind the bars. Example is of Shivsena MLA Sarpotdar who was caght by Army with truck load of weapon and handed over to police now he is back as a MLA, instead of these people we have comparitively innocent Sanjay being in Jail for such a long time.
Sanjay should be acquitted honorably by the supreme court.

Congress needs to improve its image supporting criminals/underworlds
by on Nov 27, 2007 07:06 PM  | Hide replies

Right from the day of Judgement all Congress leaders were pleading for his Bail and aquitance. . Priya Dutt visited Sonia the next day - what does this infer - Congress supports terrorism and keen only on vote bank It is unfortunate that the Chief Minister has deemed it proper to block the action taken against the police. This will definitely send the wrong signal down the line of a disciplined uniformed force. Also, the open backing and sympathy for Sanjay Dutt of Union Minister Das Munshi and State Minister Baba Sidduqui is unfortunate. Ministers should make responsible public statements.
