Action needed.
by Sachin Chavan on Mar 31, 2007 04:00 PM  | Hide replies

Congrats Sir, hope you take IAF to new heights. At the same time I hope you take some action on the serious issue of MiGs crashing during the routine training sorties. We are loosing many good future pilots and sq leaders in such ccidents which could well be avoided.

You deserve the post bestowed upon you. Whilte at the helm of affairs it would be in fitness of things if you could look into the frequent crashing of MIG and in such eventuality we are losing a good pilot and above all a good human being. This trend should be arrested forthwith. I also suggest this MIG should be replaced with new version keeping in mind IAF need.

Congrats! Make Air Force a lean and mean organisation irrespective of whether it is 3rd or 4th. acquisitions are overdue. already the force is operating with depleted strength/squadrons.

He should not have given his complete address. This man is with lot of expectations. Panthaki you have somebody to push into air force. I also salute and admire him for his elevation to this coveted post in IAF, as an Indian, and because he is a parsi. We are indians first, parsis comes second. Understand, if do not, better understand now.

The Chief of Air Staff is representing a small community in a top and sensitive post. I wish him all success in his future endeavour as Chief of the Air Force. Wish him good luck in revamping the 4th largest force in the world during his tenure. - Ex-SGT Rajenderan, Bangalore

Fali Major - the new Air Chief
by Santhanam Krishnan on Mar 31, 2007 01:51 PM

Congrats to you ACM Fali. Being an ex-Airforce pilot many times I used to wonder the policy of our goevrnment in not promoting seniors and highly competent hands from non-fighter pilot streams. There are highly qualified engineers as well as equally well qualified other personnel abound our Airforce. Glad the mind-set change has happened at least now, though it is not very dramatic (still the CAS is a flying stream man!). May be this is the begining!
